Good evening from Jersey. Had more fits yesterday and was admitted to hospital. Luckily, they weren't too bad which was why I was allowed home this afternoon, but I had to find out yesterday's result from one of the male nurses.

Back home after my travels, and despite a grey damp morning I am pleased to be here. Just been trying to catch up, so I wish you better health Barry. Yesterday morning I had just been allowed into the waiting area for my ferry in Newhaven and was watching other cars and vans going through the enhanced security checks. Twice as many officials as normal complete with sniffer dog were searching mainly vans with male only occupants. Strange, I thought we were trying to keep people out, not let them leave. However a large van arrived with a single male in it and I guessed correctly that he would get the full works. It was clear they wanted him to open up the rear doors and he was not going to. He was telling them they could look round and put the dog in from the front seats, but the back doors were closed to them. I thought he might have a bike carrier or something attached to the back so went to have a look. Across the full width of the van was an orange sign with large letters saying "OYSTON OUT OF BLACKPOOL" Not sure that many French people would know what it was about, but then he did drive down to Sussex and there are plenty of ex-pats who would understand.
Hope you're OK, jsb...puts our own old git aches and pains into perspective! Very wet and miserable here this morning after a lovely week. Big birthday do coming up weekend after next and relieved now that final accommodation and catering arrangements for 26 are done and dusted.

Big storm here last night and I had water come into the kitchen. Need to get and clear the sedum plants that have taken root on the roof, but think it will have to wait until it is dry. Climbing on wet tiles is not my idea of fun.
We had planned to complete our bike ride from the charente to cote D'Azur and rest up in Cannes for a few days over this last w/e. Clearly fate had a hand in persuading us to stop rather earlier.
Good morning all from a wet and warm Weston-super-Mare, it should clear into a nice day by mid-morning! Have a good day!
Sunshine and showers forecast for this area today. I wonder in what proportion! Didn't take long before daughter has an electrical problem and needs someone to sort it. Guess that is why she moved from England.
Good morning from a dry St. Helier. Hopefully by 10 tonight, there'll be a WFC player celebrating qualification for the Euros (Cathcart). Dave, it's a shame that a Norwich striker being suspended (Lafferty) makes their task a bit harder. Please can you answer a question for me? How can someone who is a talisman for his country be hardly played by his club?
