"**** you! Don't take my slaves!" Ironically, that couldn't be more apt with regards to the Confederate battle flag controversy.
The USA is ****ing great, isn't it? Jesus wept. Think Jim Jefferies needs to reappear to shed his light on the situation...
There was some guy on the radio yesterday in the US advocating that if the victims had been armed they could have defended themselves FFS.
I almost posted that exact same sentiment in this thread when this happened, but thought it would be in complete bad taste and obviously totally bonkers. It's amazing anyone can actually think that.
It's bizarre that a twenty year old can legally own thirteen firearms. It's being reported that he was Brit.
An eleven year old boy has just shot dead his eight year old neighbour, because she wouldn't let him play with her puppy. Bonkers.
As horrible as all these deaths are I cannot understand all of the handwringing that is going on here about these incidents. How many of us, over the years, have watched the many violent films coming out of Hollywood which include murders by the bucket load? Many films are regarded as 'classics' from the likes of Clint Eastwood and others, and even TV series from way back often had gun fights, although admittedly no blood, regularly. I have my own copy of Pulp Fiction for a start which has killings as a way of life so I feel that we shouldn't be surprised at the carnage that occurs from time to time, America was brought up with the gun and that is never going to change as anyone who has been to the USA will tell you. Who was is who said that films only mirror real life or maybe it was the other way around real life mirrors films.
