MM has been sounded out about taking over at Sunderland, with a whopping £2 million bonus if he keeps them up From good reliant intelligence deep in ITFC
I thought Mick had grown on you Spanish.... Can't see it happening to be honest..............but if he does he does.....we move on.
He's certainly made no secret of saying he would like another go in the premier league. 50/50 on this one, he could go just as easily as he could stay.
Like Weighty, I really can't see this happening. To put it bluntly, why would Sunderland want Mick again? His Premier League record leaves much to be desired and he didn't exactly leave Sunderland on the best of terms during his last stint. Yes, his achievements at Ipswich have rightly turned some heads and arguably improved his reputation in the game, but I think Sunderland will be more stable under the likes of Sam Allardyce.
Out of curiosity Spanish, let's say McCarthy resigned this afternoon, what manager do you think could realistically succeed him?
I just love these fantasy posts! Nowts going to happen, thats that! But Mick has some serious on the potty navel contemplation to do next 2 weeks, if he and his strongish pool of players are to kick-start the season. As we all know winning becomes a habit....as does losing! Major overhaul midfield. At least 2 changes defence. Attack picks itself. If the same back 4 start, I am walking up to Suffolk with a placard! What will it say??
Lets show Mick a little respect and be careful what we wish for people. The grass isn't always greener on the other side and no doubt we'd have a very hectic January with loads in / out. Plenty of points left to play for. Yes I'm not happy with some of Mick's by now painfully baffling decisions but generally he's done a decent job - we're only 3 points off the play offs lets have a little perspective. Personally, I want Mick to stay. He's built a good squad this season, finished 6th last season with a much worse side and I think we can do better this season- HOWEVER, that's not to say I'm delighted with everything - issues for me are - * McGoldrick HAS to start every game. * RB. * Not amused Yowerth has gone on loan I thought he deserved a chance CB's don't look right at the minute, give the Polish lad a go please. * Douglas hasn't offered F all so far. * I want Bart in goal. Spanish, you say if Mick resigned you'd want " any f***er " well surely you must have a sensible idea or two in charge? We tried " any f***er " with Keane and Jewell, who both tried their hardest to get us relegated.
