Great news, I hope that Curtis can maintain his form over the season and that both can stay injury free, if so that foundation gives us a great chance.
I hope as SB hinted that he will start talking to Curtis, Elmo and Hudd about a new contract in this International break.
I'd like to think that if we really hit our straps, and are leading the division come Christmas, that all of our players will want to stay to see it through. Obviously the only problem with that is that if we're doing really well it'll attract more attention from any struggling PL clubs.
That problem comes around every year! And the player has to decide what's the best scenario? Stay and hopefully go up? Or leave but maybe go down?
And to think Ince was one of ours, and at least 2 have been linked to the club over the past few season, de Vries and Rhodes. If only eh....
On whoscored.com (where those TOTW are done) Davies is ranked as the second best player in the league so far this season, and Dawson is fourth. (On a side note, McShane is eighth)
But it looks like we're almost last in goals from open play (7) but second to Burnley in goals from set pieces (5).
Said before that I think JET would be a good fit for us in this league, filling Austin's role well now.
