Lets hope not. If anything, hopefully the squad will be well disciplined enough after a couple of years of half-decent football to resist the urge to hoof the ball up to him and at least give him the chance to prove himself as something more than a one trick pony.

Good signing so far as I'm concerned, with the proviso we haven't overpriced him albeit within our budget. Assuming we keep hold of everyone else then I am a darned sight happier about things than I was two or three weeks ago. An experienced target man, just what we need to help take the pressure off our young starlet Scoredell and the man with the pricetag - Deeney.... I'm hoping Troy will come good this season (as we all are, I'm sure) and now quietly confident he will step up. And as for CI's 'miss' I'm sure I remember DG missing one as equally embarrassing save for the fact it was not an international match. Gotta be in it to win it - which is why Luther was so popular even though he was not a natural born finisher (I was there for the three he scored v Luxembourg, if the memory serves, and remember the half dozen he missed!).
We arent that far off at most games, and even had 2 games at over 15,000 last year. In fact our average is 13,167 per game and im sure they are not the same people every game so there are more out there.
Taking out Premeirship seasons, our averages will probably be similar to Burnley's... But maybe I should just have said 15,001 and then said nur nur!!
I think Burnley fans had had enough, but i think we have to give him a fresh start and not judge him untill he has either proven himself or failed. He could turn out to be a game changer or he could be another Ellington. But i think its safe to say for very little money we cant expect Messi!!!
If he is an ellington at least we havent wasted millions finding out!!!! I dont think he will set the world alight , but he will be ok and do a good job for us! A good squad aquisition!
