Cabaye denied entry to the states???

  1. I never said 18 makes you mentally an adult at all. I've seen young kids of 14 who act very maturely, and 40 year old adults that act like children. However, there needs to be an age where you begin taking further responsibility for your actions, and it has to begin somewhere, and the law decided that at age 18 you are legally classed as an adult, whether you choose to act like one or not.

Ok, i admit it's a bit silly to say that a 3 year rehab course is going to change every child that's offended, but it's silly in my opinion that if a child is put under rehabilitation which in my opinion should be regular community service, hard work and meetings with a Counselor, until the law decides that the child has improved as a person, and learned his/her lesson, then it's silly for a person in their mid 20's gets punished for something they did 10 years ago as a 15 year old.

There's no point in just locking up every kid that's offended because that person could become a valuable member of society when they turn into adults. Or else people like Cabaye who are in their mid 20's will have to pay for something they did as a kid all their lives.

I see where you are coming from but nobody is being locked up here, the US just doesnt want the sort of people who would commit armed robbery working in their country. You say that if you'd committed armed robbery as a kid your dad would have tanned your hide, but frankly I don't think many of us sane people would have even considered armed robbery. If the US thinks that the sort of person who commits armed robbery at the age of 15 is not the sort of 20 year old they want working for them then that is completely fair. Nobody is in prison or doing any time for this as an adult, they just can't work in the USA.

Btw did Cabaye even do anything wrong? I honestly haven't seen any reports that he has done anything, SSN just said there was a minor error which has been resolved.

  3. Someone said he did the same as Nile Ranger, armed robbery? Don't know if it's true or not.

Pretty sure that is people misreading the SSN report which says:

"He, like Ranger, who was convicted for his part in a street robbery as a 15-year-old, will instead join the development squad when they head for their training camp in Holland later this week."

Which means he has to go to Holland like Ranger does, not that he also committed robbery as a 15 year old.

I agree. Not only is it his blood, his penalty taking capabilities were felt to be a major concern. They are thought to be as lethal as a Vympel K-13 air to air missile that the North Vietnamese used all those years ago.

This. Especially the last part. Cabaye is no criminal, anyone that thinks he is can not read.

The Mackems are having an absolute field day with this. Apparently there are no other reasons for being denied entry to a country other than being a criminal. Any evidence that comes up that says Cabaye is not a criminal will of course be scoffed at, but that's nothing out of the ordinary. To some of the members of that board, bad news = true, good news = big shiny lies.
