I trust Jimmy. As I never thought the f*ckwit would get sacked, so hopefully Klopp is the man.
Only one problem though, all the sh*t cards he has been dealt by Rodgers.

 

I love Klopp, great manager would be just the man Liverpool need. Come FSG make it happen the EPL would be so more exciting.

If you have the choice between Klopp and Ancelotti then only a complete fool would choose Klopp.

Ancelotti has won trophies in 4 different country's, including the premier league, aswell as 3 Champions League titles.

Where as Klopp is somewhat of an unknown, yeah he did well for a spell with Dortmund, but things didnt end all to well for him there, and who knows how he'll cope coming to a foreign league to him.

Atleast with Ancelotti you know your getting a world class manager who's very adaptable. I'm not sure you can say that with Klopp

 

Ancelotti is used to walking into minted clubs full of superstars though. We ain't that.

Fair point on Klopp and the foreign league issue.

So Ancelotti would have to adjust to life at none galactico level and Klopp to the Prem. Both are gambles somewhat.

 

Klopp does play exciting balls out and at em football though, he also likes to give youngsters a chance to prove themselves.

 

Ancelotti is definitely the more finished product, but Klopp is the more exciting. He will play young players, pacey attractive football and looks like he actually gives a sh!t. Better suited to less money and should bring in some exciting German talent.

 

He didn't start off managing superstars, he's worked his way up to that level, and besides you make out as if it's easy managing Real Madrid, it's the toughest job in football, keeping all the egos in check, and dealing with the huge amounts of pressure from the board and fans. It's far easier managing lesser players, at clubs with lower expectations.

If Ancelotti was to walk into Liverpool's dressing room, i can guarentee he'd get atleast another 30%+ out of the players, just because of who he is and what he's achieved. The players would instantly buy into everything he told them to do

 

As bad as it is to see a manager get sacked, unfortunately it had to be done - that much was clear.

I don't think we should get carried away though. I like what Carragher had to say about it, the simple fact is FSG have made some terrible decisions since taking over.

Are they suddenly going to learn over night and make good footballing decisions? I doubt it. They need to forget about mega-awesome-baseball and get to grips with the roots of football (soccer!). They need to learn quick, yes they're clearly a good business group and have a very good track record. But lets be honest here, their decisions as far as LFC have gone have been ****e.

Carragher was there, he saw it all going on, and for me summed it up very well.


Personally I would be very happy with Klopp. I'm not sure what it is about Ancelotti but he get's on my tits. Klopp to rule the Kop for the next 10 years would be great.

All in all a much needed day. Brendan will be a good manager at a club without so much pressure, he'll clearly get another good job, so it's not all bad for him!

Ancelotti when he won the title with Chelsea set a goal scoring record in the league, and this is with a team who are famous for playing negative football. His Real Madrid side was always very attacking, so I don't think it's a fair argument to say Klopps brand will be more exciting, as I think both managers like to attack

 

Are there any good up and coming "soccer" managers in America they could have in mind

 

They'll probably try and get the US of ****ing A coach - Klinsmann

No one is saying they wouldn't take him, of course they would. The guy has the best CV in world football atm. His lastb3 clubs have all been biggest in their league in terms of financial clout though so although he obviously didn't start that way, maybe he's become used to being able to have the best players, where has kloppp has managed a team similar to us in more recent times.

Both would be brilliant signings and both have their pros and cons.

i, like many others, are just drawn in by Klopps attitude and exuberance and would love someone like that who feels the passion of the fans though. He's something different to 90% of managers out there.

 

Is tricky with fsg. No doubt they've done wonders for us as a club in terms of money, stadium, brand etc....all business type things but unfortunately they aren't football people and t shows at times. They don't have someone high up in their group that knows English or even European football. Ayre is there but he's an lfc employee.

I think they could have done with appointing someone with a bit more knowledge (didn't they want a dof originally byt Rodgers said no?) to help that side.

I think overall they've been a 8/10 money wise and a 5/10 football wise. They're still learning though
