Spurs did well for a "mediocre" side though, right? <laugh> I thought they were pretty good throughout and we couldn't have complained if we'd lost it.

"Today we had just 2 shots on target to spur's 11 and that tells me our defence is not quite right" Also tells me we're not shooting at goal accurately enough. Sad to say I'm now beginning to think that as others have said Gomis isn't quite up to this level. Works hard but can't take his chances.

If we were playing like we were at the beginning of the season then we would have beaten a spurs side like that......Spurs are team we should be beating at home but we still managed a draw after all their shots on target....

Not sure about this, He would have to take a massive pay cut and the indignity of not making it in a Liverpool side who are not that good.....

Is Allen better than Shelvey? No
Is he better than Ki? No
    Siggy? No
Cork? Possibly - about level I'd say.

Not for me. Also, it's not the area we need to strengthen. A bloody good, ruthless striker who can take his chances should be high on the list imo.

Oh, and I thought Barrow was decent when he came on again. Anyone else agree?

good read the last few posts. we all seem to agree on certain points a. Gomis is not up to it b. no quality depth on the bench c. I also thought Barrow did ok d. Whats wrong with Siggy?? e. Monk stating the bloody obvious re the free kicks, f. the midfield seems to go missing at times and if it wasn't for Fab and Ash we could have been thrashed.
Shelvey needs to be fined for that stupid tackle he made for their second. Oh for an Ibrahimovic or the like

Watching it on MOTD i thought Fabianski was at fault for both the free kick goals. They were alright but Fabianski should really be covering those, especially the first one.

Ayews a cracking headerer (i know not a word) of the ball glad i have him in my FF team!

Could've bloody signed Adebayor off us before we had to sack him. He's a great finisher and works really hard, honest! <whistle>

When Gomis is playing well he's a real handful. I think you guys could do with another option as much as anything so when Gomis isn't able to bully defences you can bring on a quick striker that would keep up better with Montero and Ayew raiding down the flanks. Or maybe just put Ayew up there and someone else on the right.

We must start sooner or later with Cork or Britton in midfield and one of Jonjo, Ki or Siggy in midfield and Ayew behind the main striker and Barrow out wide. I think this should be tried now and not wait for the season later on. Without two wingers there is too much wasted space on one side of the pitch and most of our goals are being supplied from the wide areas.

<laugh> I actually couldn't believe he said that when I heard it. I had to play it back. He's normally decent at interviews but that's got to be the daftest thing Monk has come out with so far.
