Ellis the mackem chairman has thanked advocaat for resigning. I wish mcclaren would do the same. Our worst start for years. I'm a patient bloke, but no less than four points from our next two games, I'll be shouting for him to go.

 

Been very poor so far has McClaren, no improvement on Carver and Pardew reigns for me, the one thing you could say to his credit before yesterday is we hadn't been hammered.

 

Oh also felt for a while that Klopp would end up at Liverpool, can't see beyond him or possibly Ancelotti.

 

Our club is rotten from top to bottom. We should appoint a manager who can buy the players he wants, not somebody who the chairman thinks is good enough to "identify" decent players. I can't understand the logic in employing a bloke to sign players who the manager doesn't want. Don't want to wind the clock back, but Keegan was spot on about Ashley. He should have stuck to his guns. Why the hell would you fill a team with players the manager didn't want?

 

Totally agree with you the manager should pick the players but sadly this is the way football has changed, I feel as if Newcastle have the most foreign model in the Premier League, yet seem most reluctant to appoint a foreign manager seems very strange. Good managers know their players and know who to get, even at Sunderland Advocaat was signing players who he knew like Lens and M'Vila and they have been Sunderland's better players this season.

Can't be any worse than McClaren, still think that both Newcastle and Liverpool would be better than foreign managers. Think you'll go for Klopp and can see Rodgers ending up at the mackems.

 

He definitely achieved more than rodgers and if all of a sudden trophies don't count Newcastle are a big club

Rodgers came within an ace of winning the league.

McLaren was, and is, a pants manager.

I knew it was a bad fit for you guys as much as when I heard he got the England job.

Rodgers has his faults but he's not a managerial dinosaur like MaClaren.

Rodgers will get better - McLaren thinks he's good enough.
