Can't help but feel the Rodgers tactics will only work with a very high quality of player. Swansea had good players when he was there. Liverpool have never replaced any of the good players they've sold/let go. Also his rotation ideas aren't good in my mind and would be a disaster if he came to us. Classic case of needing to field a settled team and he doesn't do that. Also not got a great record of bringing in players. In all, no thanks. Just don't think he would fit our club or our current situation.
Fair play but in fairness (annoying cliche, sorry) to Brendan I'm not sure just how much say he really had in Liverpool's transfer dealings. It's often been mentioned that they have some sort of transfer comity which I have often heard Liverpool fans complaining about.
Not aware of that one mate but thanks for the heads up. I'll take back the transfer policy element. Apologies for my ignorance.
Cool. Sounds like people need to take a back seat and leave the player buying to those that know something about it. Whatever we feel about Sir Les, at least he has good experience of the game and what is required of a player. No need to apologies Quality, I'm no expert on this, just adding what I'v read somewhere. I recently read an article about Jurgen saying he will only join the reds if he has full control of the players he wants during windows.
Cheers dude![]()
Yes, it was on Talksport earlier this week that many of the players were signed without Rodgers agreement, when that happens the manager/coach is in an invidious position as his head is on the block without being responsible for some of the turkeys he's been landed with...
second best win rate of any Liverpool manager in the premier league behind Benitez and did a fantastric job at Swansea, sign him up.
Just wondering what your thought are on the Ramsey/Ferdinand partnership? From what I can make out, Ramsey and Sir Les work very closely, where as it sounds like it was well out of Rodgers hands at Liverpool.
