Jack robinson from Liverpool always turns out good for me but that's more into my second season, Joe mattock is good too
2 left backs i always go for. Danny Fox from Burnley (costs around £3.0m) or Danny Wilson on loan from Liverpool. also guys, not sure if you knew this but when selling a player, obviously talk with the player first and tell him your transfer listing him (this saves upsetting the whole squad for unfair treatment) but also offer him for just over x3 his current value. for example. on the latest transfer database i posted earlier, garcia is maybe worth 700k so transfer list him & remove the option for loan and offer him to clubs for £2.4m. you'll get several offers, some for x2 his value and a few for x3 i sold garcia for £2.1m, bullard for £2.5m, mcshane for £1.7m, & ghilas for £2.5m of course if you only ask for £1m for garcia thats all clubs will offer. always ask for more.
I'm struggling to find and decent quick wingers that want to sign for city, anyone got any suggestions?
----------------Loach------------- Rosenior----Hobbs---Chester---Dawson -------Cairney-- Koren-- Reo-Cocker----- Bullard---------Simpson-------Stewart That's the current line-up. Mphela got injured after 3 games and is out for 3 months. Lost my first game against Blackpool but won the next 5.
weiss from man city on loan kakuta from chelsea on loan. and if your lucky and offer good wages... Jonathan Urretaviscaya from Benfica who's an absolute monster
I dont have 3 Million to spend, and have no more loan signings left under the age of 23, any thing more anyone?
hmmm, there's 2 good wingers available on a free but you have to snap them up on day 1 i think. still you can always try. Giles Barnes fast RW Jason Banton fast LW
I have never gone for him so not sure if he will go to a champ team but I noticed Michael Ball is always free and decent at the beginning of the game
I used to sign him a lot on last years football manager never tried him on this one. go to player search and just filter by pace and acceleration while having the filter out unrealistic targets start at 19 for both and gradually decrease it until someone matches your budget. a Winger of above 15 in both these areas will tear up the championship. Shaqiri from Basel is unreal when loaned.
Mphela's not that good for me :/. He's scored 4 in 15 games which isn't bad but two of those were against Port Vale. Aaron Mclean is actaully my top scorer with 9 goals from 12 games . Keeping Fryatt and Gudjohnson out of the side atm. I don't get why nobody but me seems to replace Koren? :s Bullard and Hargreaves are currently injured for me and Cairneys out on loan so my midfield 3 are Reo Coker, Olofinjana and Mckenna. Korens always on the bench mind but I never really play him. He's made 4 appearances in my first 15 games. I've also loaned Evans, Harper, Kilbane, Devitt (who's a fan favourite :s), Atkinson and Dudgeon out for the season with the hope they'll all be sold in summer .
I was debating getting it with it being pretty pricey. Plus its not half as good as it is on PC YET! Maybe the new one for this season could bring some good?
Oh, team wise I'm into December of the first season and I'm trying to do everything on the cheap and build it so I'm trading with money I already have in the bank (by the time the bank loan is finished). Kolinko (free)/Mannone(loan)/Botond Antal (free, loaned out) Rosenior/McShane, Andreas Siebert (Metz, loan, £250k option to buy), Ioan Mera (40k)/Cooper, Dawson/Alex Smith(Fulham, loan, 250k option to buy) Stewart/Belaid, Koren/Cairney, Javi Ros (Real Sociedad, loan, 325k option to buy)/Evans (loan), Kapo (free) Simpson/McLean, Fryatt/Cullen The loanees with options are players that I wanted at the start of the game but didn't have the transfer funds available. Did the loan deals so nobody else could get them and then took up the options as I agreed sales and had funds available. It also means their wages are cheaper this season than if I'd bought them outright. Siebert you can't get to start with. He's valued at £600k+ and they won't loan him. Add him to your short list because they give him a new deal (his existing one had a year left). Once he has they'll loan him out and let you have the option at the price I put above. Kolinko is on a 2 year contract with a 20 game/extra year trigger (he'll be my 2nd choice next season if I can't get someone cheaply to go with Smithies). Kapo is on the same deal. Cairney, Cooper, Cullen are tied upto 2015 with that same extra year trigger. For next season I've got Bullard coming back off loan who I'll keep so long as I've been promoted, plus Kilbane, Olofinjana and Ghilas who I'll try to offload regardless. McShane I've already given up trying to offload, I'll keep him until his contract runs out or he asks for a transfer because he wants to play more, and he does a decent enough job. Devitt and Antal will also return from loan, probably try and sell Devitt but Antal will do as 3rd keeper. Everyone else (including the entire youth team) I've either sold, arranged a January transfer for, or will let their contracts run down and release them. Already joining me next summer I've got Taarabt (£2M) and Hogan Ephraim (£750k) because they're unhappy at QPR being 23rd, Scott Sinclair (£1.5M) and Alex Smithies (£900k) and I've taken up the options on all the loanees. All those fees being paid over 36 months so they tie in with the existing installments (next summer's I'll try and do over 24 months, the next 12, and the next up front). It's just this having £1.75M a month going out to pay the bank debt and for existing players while I'm upgrading the youth setup and the training ground that's stopping me do them up front now. I'll probably bring Evans in on loan again because they want a silly price for him (and he's only on about £600 a week) and sign him the summer after, and I'll bring in a couple of strikers on loan, probably Adriano, he's usually available. Senderos, Ryan Taylor, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana, and Kieron Westwood are on the shortlist, and I've just taken Davenport on trial to see what he's like. Don't think I'll sign him but it costs nothing to look. Bonuses are a good one by the way, if you give the players low league bonuses but high cup ones they're pretty happy, then just meet the minimum expectation from the board for the cups and get knocked out to save cash rather than going the other way and promotion/survival costing you twice as much.
I've always found Taarabt crap when I've brought him in. He has the attributes but never produces for me. You can always sell him for a profit after a season the the PL though. The inevitable happened to me and Bullard is out for 3 months. He has been immense for me so far 7 assists and 5 goals in 15 games. I don't really have any good set piece takers anymore. Jay Simpson has has been in great form getting 10 goals in his last 9 games. Overall the seaon is going quite well. Played 22 W 14 D 4 Lost 4. Top of the league but knocked out of the Cup by Spurs.
Brilliant first season left back signing - Peter(or maybe Petar) Zanev Costs less than £100k and is better than Dawson.
just won the championship with city ! west ham came 2nd and leicester won the play-off's. 107 goals scored, 26 conceded using my 4-2-3-1 tactic. __________smithies rosenior chester coates dawson ____ reo-coker cairney weiss______koren___simpson _________le fondre smithies, koren, cairney & le fondre were the star players. only problem now is holding on to smithies & cairney. arsenal are sniffing around smithies who's dubbed the next david seaman & chelsea want cairney to replace lampard (ha) oh well, if i get a good price for them there's plenty of better players i can buy now in the prem anyone got city to the prem and can suggest some good players to buy ?
Mamadou Sakho was quality for me, helped get me into the champions league and then i lost him to Real Madrid
After a midtable finish you will be able to sign Sergio Canales. He's 19 and has 20 passing and 20 creativity by the time he's 20.
Paulo Henrique will sign for you too. After a few seasons Madrid and Barca always come in for him for around 30mill so you make a decent profit
