You do realise a push isn't a red card don't you? You think that Can should have been ent off for a push as well <laugh>

Nothing suggested he's anything but a liability. Could easily have been sent off just then. Late on but could have cost points and rodgers his job.

    We can't have that.

I think for squaring up to an opponent in an off the ball altercation and pushing them with two hands in the chest could well get a player sent off. So yes I think both Can and Sakho with another ref may well have seen red.

First 25 minutes or so was absolutely manic, end to end. Second half it was almost like the managers had agreed to a point each at the interval.

Gutted though. But 6 draws against the blues on three bounce tells a tale.

  16. Barkley and Lucas should have both seem red. Decent game for the neutral so I'm sure Tobes enjoyed it ;)

Yep for sure, I said earlier in the game the ref is being really lenient with his cards.

Barkley needs to put some studs on his boots, the lad could not stand up. Every time a Liverpool player went near him he fell over.

You probably want to double check that. Plenty of reds given for a push.

Depends on the ref and how card happy he is. A decent one cools the situation down, clattenburg would have given 5 red and 4 yellows.

Personally thought a yellow was right in both instances, and if a player gets sent off for an overhead kick then that's the day I stop watching football. Can and Barkley could have been sent off by letter of the law, but both would have been tame as ****.

Only player who deserved a red was Lucas, but overall I thought the ref was good, kept the game flowing.
