Have watched it twice on Sky and MOTD...still enjoyable. Both sets of pundits agreed we should have had 2 penalties and Chelsea none. Mourinho looking more of an idiot than usual.
Brilliant result brilliant game. Motm Pelle or Tadic but many to choose from. Virgil was awesome, made one mistake that could have been costly but won EVERYTHING in the air. Davis scored a corker (pinches self). Special mention to JWP ive always questioned the hype but he was instrumental. Was it just me or was that ref card happy?
Early doors the ref was booking every Saints foul but let Ramires get away with four or five before he finally booked him. The be frank I thought he didn't have a good game but that isn't unusual
He won't be on the ceiling. We should all remember his wise words: "Not too low when we lose, not too high when we win" .... Sod that!
I had no real concern that we wouldn't have a decent season, but I thought we had lost a little bit of the magic that made us stand out. But we've scored 12 goals in the last three games. Couldn't find the mad hysteria icon, so this will have to do:
P.s love the expectant look on Ron's face when he thinks something is about to happen...he looks about six.
Sadio Mane - best individual performance from a Saints player against a good side I can remember. How Chelsea must hate playing him!
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ Player ratings from the Mirror....we're oodles better than Chelsea. A lot of paper filled with stuff about Mourinho of course....sigh. Didn't work how I wanted...obviously not sussed out new computer yet....thought they all worked the same way....but that would be too simple.
Let the papers carry on about Moaning knickers. I am happy we quietly go a bout out 'poor start' to the season
Result aside, team performance aside, individual brilliance aside, character showed aside - perhaps the most important thing to come out of yesterday's match was that for the first time this season we never appeared to miss Morgan. (emphasis on appeared).
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/609719/Chelsea-Southampton-Match-Report Report from Express....love the line saying that Ivanovic and Terry received Jose's vitriol in absence of anyone with medical qualifications.
That was mentioned on Sky....I hadn't realised it because I think I was disappointed with draws, but always a good sign that we are still hard to beat.
Morning fellow saints, woken today in such a great mood and trying to nail why. It's October and the sun is shining, we are all beautiful people, there is a feast of football on the box today, we are 3 points of 3rd spot in the greatest and toughest league in the world, if spurs lose today we will be above them in the table, but there is something else, something else that I think happened yesterday but can't quite recall...........nope, will have to get back to you on that one, maybe I am dreaming..............
