I've just seen it on the telly. That's a man in a mess. Poor show Jose. No dignity. No class. Just lost it fella. Deserve all the crap the media will throw at you.
Just think (assuming no international injuries) we have Clasie back fit after the international break too. Following that performance I can't see him getting a first team spot but a few substitute appearances will reintroduce him carefully so he doesn't break down
I'll write my review here blind and read back to see how differently I saw this to others. My highlights were: Pelle is terrible away from home and I am very critical of him. Today he played like he does at home.........on a very good day. Wow is how I describe his input today Mane - I feel sorry for him because his diving reputation had an influence today and even though the ref was bringing his whistle to his lips for a penalty he saw it was Mane and changed his mind. Then has the temerity to book him for diving at the next opportunity when he had actually been foluled. Steven Davis - What a goal. He has been practicing that for eons and eventually he has perfected it Tadic - My MOTM. Has been off form for a long long time only giving glimpses of that early form we saw but today he out hazarded Hazard and looked world class at times. My other comments are: The referee was an awful homer. The only good decision he made was when Falcao was already diving before he hit Stekelenberg. Niall Quinn was going on and on about contact but he was diving before he got to the goalkeeper so contact is irrelevant. The whole of the Chelsea corner moaning about the ball for a corner only to be overruled by the ref. They were silenced and didn't complain again how I laughed. When Saints were on top from the start of the second half (before we scored the second.) Wow our away support are immense. Reminded me of how good they were at Stoke away in the Noddy Cup last year. My comment to a Chelsea fan on facebook was: Even with 12 men Chelseas couldn't beat the mighty Saints TBH I think Mourinho's limited tactics have been found out and it surprises me it has take as long as it has. I guess that is because he shifts clubs every 2 years. Wherever he has managed he has had a very good squad compared to his league and his tactics have always been defend, defend, defend, counter attack and if it ain't working long ball. With the squads he has had it means not as much defending but other teams have worked him out Now I'll read back and see how differently you all saw it to me.
Well what a good trip that was ! Fabulous result, performance and support. I didnt like some of our style of play over the first few games but Koeman and his team have improved dramatically over the past couple of games. Pelle has frustrated the hell out of me at times but he was immense in a great team performance today. What a homer that ref was first half, yet i heard Jose ranting on the radio about him not awarding them a penalty !
Interesting for me as I have been out all day and only got back about 20 minutes ago, so I have seen nothing bar the score. One PC is already downloading the whole match from Footballorgin, so I shall be interested to read back your comments when I have finished watching. Sounds like it was a great game to watch from a Saints perspective. Cheers
Agreed, fantastic display by Pelle and the team; my prediction was wrong again - as per usual. The ref was totally awful, I can only conclude that at half time he was told of his obvious bias and needed to level out his decisions. Because we suddenly had free kicks etc. A very good good day at the office
You need to take the aggressive defensiveness out of your reading before you post such things. Most people are criticial of what they see or perceive. Others are equally defensive about players. Then there are some that just aggressively dismiss any critique whatsoever, often in a 'told ya so' way. Pelle has been very poor. He has however been very very good in the last 2 games. No need for the aggressive 'told ya so' crap. HE has been very very good for the last 2 games and long may it continue.
You will enjoy watching more than me then After all I was head in hands dreading it being another of those 'not our day' jobbies with the ref being an arse on every decisions. Would be interested if you agree with my thoughts though.
