Exactly. We have been out-thought at the breakdown and don't see us coming back from this in second half
Barnes said ages ago, 'England will never win a World Cup with Robshaw at No7'. Couldn't agree more, and tonight highlights what he was saying...
Not much to say apart from not good enough - nowhere near good enough. The Aussies dominated virtually all key areas. If the breakdown was a boxing match, they'd have had to stop it!... Big new broom needed, methinks!...
To be fair, two tickets, hospitality, 5 star hotel...no you're right, off his head! I did tell him. The rugby press got a bit of the football World Cup fever. Over excited and optimistic based on **** all. Should be some fair priced tickets knocking about now!
Well, Lancaster and his team have to go. Not before time either. It's really not anywhere near good enough that a national side with the resources England have at their disposal have done nothing but regressed over several years now. The Aussies have clearly come on leaps and bounds under Cheika, we have not even managed to stand still!..
I'm no Union aficionado but I do watch the England and Lions matches...as long as I can remember they've relied on grinding forward play while the backs have lacked the flair of their top class opponents. Even in 2003 it was turgid stuff.
In 2003 I was confident, I knew we would win because we were the best team in the world. We had a great combination of forwards and backs. Since then, we have gone backwards under various coaches and administrations. Lancaster, however, has presided over a major regression.
