Was anybody else aware that Macca is now the captain of Reading? My mate just had a photo with him in a Reading training top. It just doesn't look right.
He tipped it round the post several times and was superb in stopping them on the break. Although he kept us in it they should never have had all the shots they did, and most came from us giving it away and being caught out of position on the break.
Anyway daft lad how the hell can you have a second team You have one team and thats it Anyone who has 2 teams is a nugget
McGregor kick trajectory is too high-gives opposition far too much time to get under them and minimises opportunities for flick-ons IF someone gets on the end of it. Needs to keep the ball much lower ,even if it sacrifices distance .But a lot of the passing was like that ,the vision was good but not incisive execution ,Acres of space all day on the flanks ,and still nobody running into it . Are our players not allowed to overlap on the wings -only in the congested middle ?Dawson couldn't pass water today, good job he can tackle
Very good 3pts well done to everyone who went should have been more than 1 up but the important thing is we won 3 pts at Cardiff, 3 at forrest great return UTT
Houghton 1st choice Butler 2nd Both very good at it by my recollection, can only remember Butler missing one (away to Carlisle I think), cant remember Houghton missing at all but could be rose tinted glasses
We got our arse in gear half way through the first half and at least showed some attacking intent, though we were better in the first half against Fulham.
A few things from today... Odabajo improved as the game went on, but he's not a left back, he kept running to the byline and then not be able to cross (ditto Clucas playing right wing). Hernandez obviously took the penalty, he's got a brilliant penalty record, **** one today mind. Diame came off because he looked a bit knackered and Hernandez was injured, it wasn't really Bruce's usual defensive subs, though it certainly put us under more pressure (with a two week break now, I'd definitely have left Diame on). Ronnie Pickering songs were the order of the day and for some reason there was a ridiculous amount of beer throwing on the concourse. Some of the Forest fans immediately next to us completely lost it and nearly got themselves ejected. Most entertaining. All in all, a good day out.
