A great first half performance today.
    Mitro looked class.
The second half we lost it a wee bit but City were class... In the second half.
I expected a hammering and **** performance today.
    We only got a hammering.
No Russian cossack knee jerking here.

It''s simple, really. Every other club in the whole of football has an in-built desire to win, to achieve, to be better. Except one. One club has an aim to survive in a lucrative division so its' owner can advertise his shop to the World for free. Such ambition is not ambition at all and is inevitably found out for what it is.

I think we showed ambition this season. However we appear to have got it wrong.

I said before a ball was kicked we had nobody who could run a game like cabaye and im right basically.

Also im right in saying sissoko is terrible rw.

No, we didn't. Absolutely we didn't. We bought the same type of player - unproven, young, with sell-on value We just spent a little more than previously. We didn't buy players we need, we certainly didn't buy players the "manager" wanted (Thauvin? Really?!), we left the likes of Sissoko, CIsse and Tiote in the squad and gave Colo a new contract. We showed ZERO ambition - what Ashley did was give Charnley more of a budget, but a lot of the same inhibitors, and left the fcking useless pile of toss to his own devices. Why? Because at the end of the season, those in the PL get a 66% bonus due to the new TV deal. That was our ambition - get more money. Nothing else A football club cannot be run on a balance sheet, it will fail. We are failing. Hell, we've already failed!

Ashley remains convinced that his "do it on the cheap" model can work. He believes, still, that employing trusted people in positions of genuine power will work. He doesn't believe football is complicated, he thinks it's easy and more or less anyone can do it. Hence Kinnear, hence Wise, hence Llambias, hence Charnley. He's a moron. He employs idiots, but what else would a moron do? We'll eventually collapse, it's just when, and it's so very painful waiting for that final breath. We're basically on football's version of a life support machine, powered by Sky.

I feel its unfair tne criticism Thauvin is getting and much like other signings we decided wernt good enough fast enough would probably go elsewhere and achieve better things.

we spent money and clearly that's some ambition, however unfortunately the fixtures we're against us from day dot.

What ashley hasn't realused yet is that its worth spending money on a top manager and coaching staff but other than that its clear he showed more ambition than he ever has.

My criticism isn't of Thauvin himself - it's the fact for 12 months the boy distanced himself from a move, seemed clearly uninterested in joining Newcastle, but then was spat at and had no other options, so we STILL bought him. We could have bought Austin, Townsend, or Payet with the money. My criticism is that this isn't ambition - it's idiots leading idiots into poor decisions, time after time, and why? Because we once bought Cabaye for £5m and sold him for £19m. That's the ambition - Thauvin is here to be sold for £25m or, if we're out of our tree lucky, for a Bale type figure.

Yes, you have to be able to sell players on occasion to keep up, but we're reinvesting so badly, in the wrong areas, that when we finally find a chequebook it's utterly mis-spent. I'll still be shaking my head at Coloccini's contract 50 years from now, it was such a staggeringly, astonishingly low-rent, poor decision.

We sell our best players it's unfortunate but it is what it is. If anyone performs THEY want to go too remember.

We are a shop for the bigger clubs just as others are to us.

Today we were eaten alive by tbe apex predator of this country.

    We can't win
