Sat in the lgi waiting for the mother in law to get a bed again... Suspected mini stroke. Had to leave the lads to it tonight. Where to start... Rosler is not a Leeds manager. Sets the team up not to concede but we are inept defensively and won't keep clean sheets regularly. Then we don't even look like scoring. One shot in the first half. He needs to be gone... The players are nowhere near as good as you lot think they are. We are far too slow getting forward. Bamba didn't make a forward pass all game. And at no point did we chase the game. We deserved to get beat and Birmingham were very poor. Anyone ready to accept we are in a relegation dog fight yet. Botaka was good when he came on, and god knows what Rosler saw in training that made him think Buckley should start.
I'll probably repeat a lot of what Glory's said, but here goes .... Rosler MUST go. I cannot believe how patient I've been. He's now lost my support & I doubt if he'll get it back again. As Glory says, the team is not set up to win - it's set up not to lose. We were inept going forward (again), right up until the substitutions were made. Can anyone tell me when we last regularly played with 1 striker at ER? I can't remember it ever happening. Just not good enough. For once, Cellino is slow off the mark. Perhaps he'll revert to type & fire Rosler immediately for incompetence. Silvestri - actually played one of his better games. Caught several balls; punched none (that I can remember); came out to get the ball without getting screamed at; and his distribution was a lot better than usual. Berardi - our best defender. Can't say a bad word about him. Hope he recovers quickly from the injury. Cooper - not at his absolute best, but still good IMO. Bamba - not the leader we were looking for in a captain. Can only pass sideways. Soooo predictable. If we can get Bellusci interested in playing, it might be an idea to pair him with Cooper. Worked the last time. Probably Bellusci's most responsible display for us ever! Taylor - as with Cooper, not at his best, but still worth picking. Murphy - I'm a Murphy fan, but have to say that he was absolutely average. Seemed very lacklustre. Mowatt - Probably his worst game this season - and he's had a few bad 'uns! Awful, and so were his corners. Still. Cook - one of his poorest performances for us. At his best running at defences with the ball, but had zero opportunities today. Buckley - anonymous. When was the last time he played a competitive game? Absolute passenger. Should never have been played, and should defnitely have got hauled off long before he did. Wood - I think the only person in the world that doesn't realise that Wood is not a lone striker is Rosler. Is a capable guy, but spends each match surrounded as he's up there on his own. Dallas - has begun to show some improvement, and probably had his best game yet. Almost scored. Subs: Byram - unplanned sub, as Berardi got injured. Did ok, IMO. Botaka - deffo made an impact when he came on. Had more shots on target than the whole team put together in the short time he was on. A definite threat, and is currently my pick of our 3 wingers. You just don't know what he's going to do next. Trick after trick after trick - & most of them came off! Ref - another numpty. We should have had at least one penalty after some hefty shirt-tugging in the box. As the bloke sat beside me shouted "he's turned that top into a sail, ref!" Final summary: We will not improve under Rosler if he continues to use this system - especially at home. He's never experienced a league victory at ER & he never will IMO. We need to reinstate 'Fortress ER', and there is no doubt in my mind that he's not the guy to do it. He's spent so much time trying to avoid defeat that he's inadvertantly managng better to avoid victory.
