Midfield is definitely going to be where the game is going to be determined (unless either defense is having a nightmare). Mahrez is going to be key for the Foxes, as will Hoolahan and Howson for Norwich. Set pieces seem to be quite a weakness for Norwich and I dare not look when a free kick is awarded in our half of the pitch sometimes. Normally I would like to think that a home win was a likely outcome but I can not say with any degree of certainty that it will happen this weekend. It's going to be a tough game for both sides and I am guessing a draw is most likely. I would be quite happy with that if I am being honest.
I imagine we'll give Kante the not so easy task of man marking Hoolahan. The best tackler vs the best creator (stat wise). Should be a good contest.
I would like us to stick with our formation with - Fuch and Ulloa coming in for Schlupp and Okazaki - as it is bringing the best out of us attackwise. Can see us experimenting with a back 3 in this game though - hopefully won't disrupt our progress.
Like this but would go with Huth for Morgan Benalouane deserves his chance after his near faultless display against a West Ham first team in the cup.
Norwich- Ruddy, Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Brady, Dorrans, Howson, Tettey, Jarvis, Hoolahan, Jerome Subs- Rudd, Mbokani, Lafferty, Redmond, Olsson, Bennett, O'Neill Leicester- Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs, Albrighton, Kante, Drinkwater, Schlupp, Vardy, Okazaki Subs- Schwarzer, De Laet, Benalouane, King, Inler, Mahrez, Ulloa
Is a more defensive lineup - am glad to see that we haven't changed the formation as it seem to suit us on the attacking side at least. Fuchs and Schlupp should be enough to keep Hoolahan quiet and Okazaki can run himself ragged defending from the front. Albrighton and Simpson - can see them working together as well.
The pace of Vardy, Albrighton and Schlupp means we haven't changed our fast approach. Not playing Mahrez is one hell of a curveball by Ranieri as I suspect they will have spent most of the week planning to deal with him
Very interesting. Happy to see Fuchs in. Fully deserved Bet Simpson can't believe his luck, but fair play to him . He has obviously worked hard in training
Well, that's an expected starting line-up. I guess this is where we find out if Ranieri is a tactic genius - or not.
Not wowed with that team, I have to say, but I do like the look of our left-hand side, excited to see Fuchs get a start and Schlupp not having to worry about defending, Norwich will have been expecting Mahrez and Schlupp is a very different proposition. Would expect to see Mahrez on early in the second half if things aren't working.
