Clare Balding is a Saints Foundation Ambassador. Nuff said. Now I know we are Premier League - we have a National Treasure.
But a link would have been nice..! :http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/arti...ing-saints-foundation-ambassador-2723807.aspx I'll even provide a video : Incidentally, well done girl. Great club and cause to support.
Really interesting person. Happy to give up her time to give us a talk at university, too. Although, I found out she was a Saints fan well before this.
Indeed, there is no mistaking a mush. Neither Pompey nor Cherries have mushes. Peculiar to Southampton because of our problems with French marauders.
Great to know that Clare is a Saints fan, always found her an interesting and intelligent woman to listen to. Cant imagine her saying ' Alright mush ! ' somehow though !
Le Tissier is a 2yold gelding trained by Andrew Balding. Le Tiss was a gelding trained by Mick Channon, who ran 22 times on the flat, winning 3. Mick also trained Osgood, a former flat handicapper now running over hurdles for Gary Moore.
Does one of those horses just stroll around a bit in the middle of the race course and then suddenly do something absolutely brilliant?
Picked up the reference to Le Tiss, of course. But Mick had games where he was quiet for ages and would then tear a team apart and of course Ossie wasn't known for his work effort. Back at the video .. Clare has a radio programme I always hear when I'm on a school run. She goes walking with people and it really shouldn't work but somehow just does through the strength of her personality. She is a great acquisition. The Foundation is something of which I am stupidly proud
She he a real joie de vie about her. I also love the work of the Saints Foundation. I'd love to do something with them again.
