    My Team for City

    Krul
    Janmaat Mbemba Colo Mbabu
    Sissoko Wiji
    Thauvin Perez
    Mitrovic Cisse

For me Perez works hard getting back when he plays on the wing and could offer protection to Mbabu and I've gone with Cisse upfront because although Perez played well with Mitro, i think Cisse would really thrive off of a target man. Cisse always looks poor when playing in attack alone, but thats because his being asked to do a job that he is not equiped to do.

I wouldnt mind putting sissoko on wing, taking thauvin out and putting anita or colback there, but I'd like us to install a bit of confidence in Thauvin and he can take a great set piece which will be vital against a team like city where chances are far and few between!

I would expect City to react to the two last defeats, needs a bigger effort than against Chelsea for sure and that may not be enough.

    I'd go same again personally.

I know I would not include Cisse, that is tantamount to self destruction. Plus Perez and Mitro have surely earned the right to develop a partnership. Anita and Colback were the main reason for our performance against Chelsea, why would we change that? I wouldn't even pick Sissoko, but certainly not in the centre. That kind of liability will just see Man C run riot.

Have to agree I'd stick with the same XI but sounds like Colback is struggling so if he is out I'd bring Thauvin in and move Widj to the center. Defo need Mitro and Perez up top again, can see that causing (Citeh's) ****ty's CB's problems.

The wisdom of the crowd has spoken I'm afraid.... Newcastle will batter you lot, all whilst bemoaning the quality and indeed overall decline of match-day threads <wah>

Which Tiote? .. the destroyer from 3 years ago, or the Tiote that jogs around, vaguely, in the middle of the park doing late, unnecessary challenges?

    If the latter...yes probably

Same team that started against Chelsea for me. With Kompany out Mitro should dominate their CB's and allow Perez to run in behind. If Colback is injured Id play Tiote. If we apply ourselves in the same manner as we did against Chelsea we could well take a positive result away from this one.

Sweet Jesus!! Gouffran starts in place of Colback. Otherwise unchanged. Bizarre decision.
