Just heard from my mate at the ground (he's not really in the know but likes to think he is!) and he reckons the tickets for the great unwashed on wearyside will go on sale next Monday.

Can anyone confirm this, or has heard something similar/alternative? I wouldn't imagine we'll start selling at much more than 40 points but wouldn't want to miss it before they start dropping!

As an aside, I was reading the thread on the darkside forum about Toon fans getting tickets for the home end :bandit: and I've got to say I've been there, done that and it's not an experience I particularly enjoyed ... well not until Nobby scored the penalty and we got thrown out !!

I'm not sure if they do, Leazes is the best man to ask about this.

They'll be out sometime next week. Supposedly there is a problem over our allocation as SAFC want the segregation bigger this year, thus taking more seats away from us, NUFC saying this isn't allowed.

So yeah, I got told next week but I reckon it could be any day now. It will start at 60-70 points.

Well we started selling yesterday, and there are approx 6k left, so i'd imagine that you guys will be looking at next week.

I heard the segregation problem is our lovely friends at Northumbria Police, and the negotiation is over cost NOT numbers.

You should get the usual allocation if correct.

Police are saying they want 3 seats removed from each row in the Sunderland end, Sunderland are saying no and that they should come from our end but will take our allocation below 3000. Only reason NUFC are saying no is because we have recently had to extend our away end because it was breaking the rules at 2800.

The price has to be the same as people in the South Stand home section.

I mean policing cost marra, not ticket price.

I still think the easiest thing all round would be to move away fans into the SWC, easily segregated, and you could get your 3200 in there, with no upper tier as it's lined by exec boxes.

There's talk of this for season after next like.

Ahh right. The current location is ok as it's right next to the coach car park, but it would be better for you to have your fans behind the goal.

Totally, it's ridiculous that we don't considering the ****e away followings 80% of the league bring.

The SWC could still be funneled to the coach park, i think the problem is the police control centre is in the south with the away fans, that's what's stopped us moving it already.

The sale period nomally begins roughly 4 weeks prior to the game, so seems plausible
