Used to be rather good didn't he... The Skids, The Clash, The Jam, Squeeze, 'Jump Around' etc

All gone a bit Capital Radio last season however

    So I propose a coup!

This new track will be the sound of Charlton Athletic 2K11

Yes... This was a thinly veiled trick to get you into another thing and promote the new Weller song...

I don't know where we stand on posting entirely non-Charlton posts - didn't wanna push my luck!

I'm with you all the way Kish... Weller is an absolute legend...!!

Mrs. Franco and I had our first dance on our wedding day to "You Do Something To Me"...

When I TOLD her what song we were having she reckoned that she'd never heard of it, so to say she weren't keen on having it is the understatement of all understatements... Anyway, once I sat her down and made her listen to it in all it's glory she fell in love with it and the rest is history... To be fair... It was the one and only thing I actually had a say on at our wedding.... <laugh>.

I vote we go back to Selhurst days with 'things can only get better'... seems apt.

I met Paul Weller at the Asda store in Rayleigh, Essex. We were bemoaning the fact that the Lottery customers were clogging up the queue for those just wanting to buy their snout. Why couldn't they just have two seperate queues, we said. Anyway, he bought Dunhill and I bought my regular Embassy No1.

I have his autograph on a Euromillions slip. How great is that?

Zeppelin ''Kashmir'' - Any sort of songs along those lines where it has an ''intimidating'' rift and gets the heart pumping.

A revamp of the ''Red, Red Robin'', where he possibly beats the crap out of other birds would be good.

Yes, particularly when we play a team with an avian nickname, like Norwich, Cardiff, Newcastle, Palace or Torquay.

Nice Ponders... The only way that story could get any better would be if your Euro Millions numbers had come up!!

Afraid not, Franco. I have played the same Lotto numbers for 11 years and never won more than £45. The autograph is probably worth more than that.

I like Weller, but much prefer Morrissey. He is my big idol. A great artist, a great performer and a true gentleman.

I've never been a fan of Morrissey, although my boys like him as Bob The Builder... <laugh>.

Man alive, the level of the stories you lot have is brilliant, if I met someone like Weller in a que I'm not sure I'd be able to hold a conversation!

That said I have shared a drink with keira knightly (I say shared, I really mean she was sat next to me in some bar in shoreditch)

Agreed the music last year was pretty poor, though wasn't most of it the players choices? Remember going to my seat with some French gangster rap playing thanks to racon!

The players' musical tastes were generally abysmal. Maybe I am showing my ignorance, but I can never quite understand why youngsters from Gravesend are so into gangster rap. Then again, I have never been to the West Indies but am quite partial to old school reggae.

    I feel really old - but I ain't really.
