In Ireland only recently a woman was pretty much allowed ****ing die because of religion. Rather than carry out the abortion she died from blood poisoning needlessly. Pretty sure Ireland is not Islamic :bandit:

Lets not forget in years gone by the good christians in ireland put babies of unmarried mothers into rooms to die and then put their corpses in septic tanks.

Organised religion sucks ass. Beliefs are OK I get faith but a centrally controlled organised religion is nothing more than a ****ing cult. <doh>

Amen to that. Beliefs are fine, but should be personal - like your football team or favourite pop record.

That's how I actually feel about society too mate, we'd all be much ****ing happier if we all chipped in and took part, no better purpose instead of working your ass off for 40 years just to give the banks profits. We are literally walking lumps of cash now for the banks, they can even dip into us if they blow all their cash <laugh>

In the UK there's a clause in the Abortion Act protecting the right of conscientious objection by doctors and nurses. The rest of Europe varies - Swedish law provides no right of conscientious objection to doctors and both doctors and other health personnel have contractual obligations to assist in the termination of pregnancy.

In France, Norway and Italy, doctors are not legally required to perform abortions, but are obliged to participate in pre-operative care. In Denmark and the Netherlands one can conscientiously object to being involved in pre-operative care, but there is nonetheless a legal obligation to refer the woman seeking an abortion to another colleague.

If you are a believer you must have an opinion one way or another.
