Thanks. Must have got my time zones wrong. One of my nephews live in Melbourne, which must be a different time zone from Sydney. No wonder when I Skype him he's peeved off - old age on my part. Enjoy the events. Who you rooting for ? PS. Cold Chisel still going strong then ? Haven't heard 'em for years. Time to reacquaint myself - quite melodic if I recall.
Melbourne(Vic) and Sydney(NSW) are both on the same time zone! FYI both States put their clocks forward 1 hour from early this Sunday morning. This will take us 10 hours ahead of the UK. As for Cold Chisel - exactly the same comments as yourself. My best mate lives in North Queensland(Cairns) and he's going with me so I'll be with the Cowboys. They are now in their 20th year of the competition and have yet to win a Grand Final- they lost their only other appearance 10 years ago.
Fiji get better as the number of players on the field is reduced. Ranked around 10th in Union, 6th in League and 1st/2nd in Union Sevens. A 10 team Sevens competition is included in the Rio Olympics next year and Fiji could win it. The NRL in Aus has run a 9 man League pre-season competition for the past couple of years and Fiji would be a handful at that too if it was ever internationalised.
The All Blacks. I like the fact that every single player for the All Blacks is wearing black boots. Commendable. Pink/Orange/Yellow/White boot wearers please take note - your boots look ridiculous.
New Zealand certainly seem to be having a bad day at office. Hats off to Georgia whose defence have been brilliant so far. The joy on the face of the Georgia try scorer tells it all really.
Considering the ranking of the two teams ( so far apart ) Georgia are not doing too bad, the difference is in the backs and how quick New Zealand move it out to the wings create an overlap and score, as I type that they score again the same way.
43-10 to the Kiwis then. Tomorrows game then: 1430: Samoa v Japan. Stadium MK 1645: South Africa v Scotland. St James Park 2000: England v Australia. Twickenham. Massive game, huge.
Japan 26 - Samoa 5. Could make for interesting qualifying now in group B. South Africa v Scotland next.
So South Africa beat Scotland 34-16. Looks like the springboks are going to win their pool, so if England end up finishing as runners up in their pool then it'll be South Africa in the QF's.
Honours even after the anthems. Ours is boring and isn't even the English anthem, while theirs sounds like it was written by an eight-year-old. Or Tony Abbott. Right, let's play hide-the-ball. If they get it, they'll slice us open like David Busst's leg.
