Morning Just wanted you honest opinion, we have a few weeks until the football season kicks off! (thank god! the missus has been doing my head in!) anyway dispite the banter and all that, i quite like having you scumbags around makes the season more interesting and competitive. what are your thoughts on your transfers? We havent really brought anyone so far this season a little stregthening here and there but Marquis and Mcquiod will score goals they are both great young strikers so im not concerned about losing Morison anyway do us a favour and spank westham!
BigNeil Leeds fans love having small clubs tagging along dont worry I am growing fond of you Millwall lot only because we cant get rid of you, Im looking forward to the new season and to Leicester "doing a middlesborough" I think its horrendous how Sven has just barged his way around their club and got rid of all the good players and replaced them with similar ability, hes a tool and hasn't really ever achieved anything in football.
Thoughts on our transfers so far are that they're decent but not enough. However I expect us to be in a stronger position by the time the season starts with a few deals seemingly nailed on but taking forever.
I know the feeling on Transfers taking for ever! i think with Puncheon and Townsend will be a solid team to play against anyone but seems like they are holding out for premiership clubs to take a risk on them! I still think we will be solid this year Kenny is a great manager and knows what to do! he made a good comment to the press, " its easy to buy players, but not so easy to buy good players that will improve an already good squad"
I think we've got GK, LB and CM still to fill for our starting 11. For the GK position Stockdale has been our transfer saga of the year. He's going to Swansea no he's not he's going to the Championship on loan he's coming to us will there be a 24hr recall clause do Fulham want a fee he wants to go to Swansea no he wants to come to us... For LB it looks likely Lichaj could come back and we're reportedly going to bid £1m for Clingan from Coventry to take up the remaining CM place.
Different type of player though. We've already got Brown so IMO we don't need Clingan. Looking at our CMs last season we had Johnson and Kilkenny and needed a DM. Brown is the DM we needed and IMO Clayton will step up as Johnson's replacement so we still need to replace Killa and IMO Clingan is perfect for that role. EDIT: Meant we don't need Smith.
I think both sets of fans are dissapointed with the current in take of signings.... with three weeks to go we need a GK LB and maybe a striker and CM on loan.... but i feel we have a way to go..... but our squad is ok... Somma getting injured has not helped. Morrison will be a big miss for you boys... But getting big Kenny to sign a new contratc a good move.... Good luck for the season.....i know our games will be as interesting as ever....
Millwall remind me of your annoying little brother or sister who just won't go away. Most of the time you just want them to do one but you know if they did go away you'd miss them.
