Here it is. Bonkers from the start and just very uncomfortable. (Quite a few football analogies involved)
I agree with you Godders, It's absurd with all the documented evidence of how evil smoking is that anyone would even start smoking nowadays, I do think that the more help for those that want to stop the better. My dad was a smoker and tried many times to give up, having been a smoker for nearly 60 years he found it nigh on impossible, then he was diagnosed with terminal Cancer so took the attitude of too late so why bother. He passed April last year, for obvious reason's I hate cigarette's but while it's still legal to purchase and own cigarettes I don't think you can demonise people who choose to do so.
Britain allegedly helped Saudi Arabia's controversial election to the UN human rights council (UNHRC) through a secret vote-trading deal, leaked diplomatic cables have reportedly shown. Saudi foreign ministry files, among 61,000 documents released by Wikileaks, reportedly refer to talks with British diplomats ahead of a November 2013 vote in New York and have been translated by Geneva-based human rights organisation UN Watch. The classified exchanges, published byThe Australian newspaper, allegedly suggest the UK initiated the secret negotiations by asking Saudi Arabia for its support. Both countries were later elected to the UNHRC, which consists of 47 member states. One Saudi cable reportedly read: “The delegation is honoured to send to the ministry the enclosed memorandum, which the delegation has received from the permanent mission of the United Kingdom asking it for the support and backing of the candidacy of their country to the membership of the human rights council (HRC) for the period 2014-2016, in the elections that will take place in 2013 in the city of New York. “The ministry might find it an opportunity to exchange support with the United Kingdom, where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would support the candidacy of the United Kingdom to the membership of the council for the period 2014-2015 in exchange for the support of the United Kingdom to the candidacy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” More here: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...man-rights-council-seats-leaked-a6673491.html This is disgusting.
Blimey, Corbyn must have thought he had got on a bus and happened to sit next to the mad bloke! I thought he dealt with it all extremely well, and I am more and more impressed with him every time I hear him speak.
Blimey, that was embarrassing. I know SKY coverage is poor quality just from the stuff I see escaping their newsroom, but that reached a new depth. It equals some of the stuff you see from FOX News in the USA, and that is beyond poor. Another Rupert Murdoch company, incidentally. Listening to Corbyn there reminded me of the better aspects of the society we lived in prior to Thatcher.
Undoubtedly, but they're still 100% better than burning tobacco. I've been using e cigs for about three years because its the only way I could stop smoking, and physically I feel as healthy as I did when I didn't smoke. I've done a lot of research on what I'm inhaling, and there is a lot of dodgy stuff out there, a lot of it comes from China. However, there's e-liquid manufacturers from France and Italy that are more scrupulous, and when the UK starts regulating e cigs they will be even safer. If I could I wouldn't smoke anything, because its not nice being chained to an addiction. To me though, e cigs actually feel less addictive than burning tobacco. I've had times where mines broken, and I've been ok for a day or two. Try taking a smokers ***s away for a day!
Alan Partridge lives!....I think that in a strange way it will have done Corbyn no harm at all because Holmes was coming at him with perceptions of status quo politics , where spin and image override content and Corbyn came across as an ordinary man of the people,
Extremely interesting development by a GB company: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-34401616 Essentially, energy efficient devices can be powered from excess transmitted radio, mobile and digital frequency energy. Put simply that is electricity through the air. The concept is vaguely similar to the wireless power that NIkola Tesla envisaged, although Tesla was considering that mains electricity could be harnessed through the air. Nevertheless, this an extremely interesting development. Technology marches on [as do Saints].
Another new development is from Irish company Steorn. They've been in the public eye for about 10 years or so because of their claims to have developed an over-unity device. Now any physicist, indeed many people, will tell you that the fundamental principles of physics depend upon the Laws of Thermodynamics. Look it all up if you don't know. Well Steorn's technology appears to break the 3 laws. They keep very quiet about that bit these days because when they asked scientists to test their early developments back in 2006 the scientists said they had nothing. Instead of falling apart [they are heavily invested in] they kept at it and now have something to show again. It's a battery that never dies [apparently this behaviour lasts forever]. Here's what happens. It charges your phone up, which drains it's own power, but within two seconds it is at full power again, ready to charge another. All from a unit that is disconnected from any external power source. As a company, Steorn have always had a sense of humour. When they were making their early claims they did them with a smile. The reason being that people get very angry if you tell them the science they've been depending upon all their lifetime might be a little outdated. Nevertheless, it pays to be sceptical. Scientific method is to tear something down and if a theory or even a piece of technology resists all attempts to discredit it, then it might have something. With this in mind, Steorn are field testing their device in a Dublin pub where the customers will be able to charge their phones for free. Will it work.? I have no idea. It shouldn't, that's all I can say. However, companies that have millions invested in them, as steorn does, don't bring out new technologies to be laughed at and disgraced. So on that basis alone, I am open minded. Look up Orbo or Orbo battery, if you are curious. Perhaps you ought to be. Whether it works or not, these are the first faltering steps away from the old industrialised world.
Indeed. I would say Holmes was quite dumbfounded by Corbyn's approach which is to treat someone else as you yourself would want to be treated. Not, prepared to put up with, not, suffering under silence, but being treated with respect, because we all want respect as fellow human beings. That takes a lot of patience and honesty from all people, and some are just not up to it because it is not in their interests to be so. I hope Corbyn succeeds.
What? I have never smoked. Plus given up alcohol. The only addiction I have is staying as healthy as I can. Naive? I will give you. But then everyone is naive about something.
About to do the most bonkers thing ever with Fable. It could be genius, it's certainly ridiculous...all will be revealed in next couple of months!
Just been reading a small article about that disgusting Hopkins woman. I won't say anymore about her, but at the bottom of the piece was a delightful cartoon about refugees. And it sums up how we could and perhaps should be thinking: please log in to view this image
