Of course it does because of the financial aspect. When City were in the Premier League we were playing against teams who could bring a sub on who cost more then our entire squad, against players who cost more then our club, and I don't see this in other sports, certainly not in rugby league who operate a salary cap so no club is supposed to have a financial advantage over another.

My mate who is a FC season pass holder says he didn't have to buy tickets for the super 8's, they are included in the season pass.

The initial passes certainly didn't as I know a few people that bought them, he may have got one after the deadline passed and they we're put back on sale, probably an incentive to sell a few more, it would certainly make sense because I can't imagine 6,000 people buying tickets for nothing games and an under performing team.

All the season passes had free entry to the super 8's mate, the 2015 season pass brochure is still online, I've just looked at it.

    Poor comparison.
I wouldn't have thought money comes into Judo at all. Isn't it an amateur sport ?
My point is that days of a club like Blackburn winning the Premier League are a million to one against because of money.

Oh ffs. Didn't the world curling champion(whoever he may be) have to work his ****ing socks off to get there?

It doesn't matter what you want to be the best at. You have to be ridiculously good at it.

To be the best, surely you only have to better than the others. RL is a small pool, and FC aren't exactly champions at it.

So same strategy and sound bites for yet another season!! No doubt followed by the usual underperformance and failure. Massive clubs, biggest derby, blah blah, my arse - becoming a bit of a joke really.
Why the hell is AP wasting his time on such a minority going nowhere sport and club? Or are these latest soundbites ("it's unsustainable at these levels") taken together with the joint academy part of a long term master plan to create one merged club that might then have half a chance of competing against the RL 'big' guns? Still doesn't answer the first question though.
p.s. I don't know much about RL these days. Isn't it time it just died a quiet death?

No-one is disputing that but in team sports the best players are attracted to the teams/clubs who have the most money.

I was born in the centre and lived there for a couple of years before moving to East Hull and living there until leaving Hull in '59. My mum was a Rovers fan born on Hedon Rd and dad a Hull fan born on Anlaby Rd.

This weekend will mark the 70th anniversary of being taken to my first League match at Craven Park to see Rovers. Soon after I was taken to see Hull at the Boulevard and chose to follow them. Almost a year later I was taken to my first Hull City match.

In 1980 I came from Aus to take my 75 year old widowed mum to Wembley to see her team play Hull and win the Cup.

I've no idea what happened to their season, I don't follow RL at all, but I'm pretty sure most FC fans don't think it's been a particularly good season.

There were several when Hull City competed in the Association Members Cup/Football League Trophy in the 80's/90's. Lowest I can remember is 553 against Chester in 1996.

Isn't that really really odd example to use? Undeniably Jack Walkers millions bought the Premier League for Blackburn (nothing wrong with that and fair play to them) but he bought a struggling Divison 2 club and spent his way to a PL title. He made millions available for record signing after record singing outspending his more established rivals to win the title in 94/95.

I don't see a big difference between what he did and what Mansour is doing at Man City.

    Spot on there OLM.
No its been a very ****e season, on paper the squad should've been challenging for a top four finish. Simliar to City last season, when lets face it, on paper we had a squad that should not have been relegated.
Thats sport for you, even more so with City, its always been a rollercoaster ride because we never do things the easy way eh.
