    He's English and he's chosen to play for England instead of RoI as a result of said Englishness.

    Parentage should gave a say in your choice. IMO that's as far as it should go! Not grandparents but parents. What if you are on holiday in Spain and go into labour prematurely? Then raise a boy who turns out to be a footballer. Should that person have only Spain to choose as the international country

    Seems to have some talent but seems to be a bit of a daft lad so I don't know how far he'll actually go.

    Good luck to him I say. If I was in his position I know what I'd do.

    The father of Jack Grealish has revealed that Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill got in touch to offer his best wishes to his son, despite the 20-year-old Aston Villa midfielder deciding to represent England rather than the Republic at international level.

    Made a bit of a dick of himself on holiday during the summer. Perhaps thats it. I don't get it either.
