Heres another from July last year: And i quote - Nick Higgs at the Q & A : "There were a lot of questions that we were unable to answer because in the end we simply ran out of time. We will hold another meeting after six or seven games of the new season and look to address them then." I think we can assume someties people at our club are shall we say economical with the truth - UTG
I'm a doubting Thomas as regards any official utterances from the club. I have good reason to say that nothing should be believed until you can see, hear and touch it!
Well he said "no truth in a bid or an approach for the club". Sounds like a denial to me! Then he basically asks for the consortium to make themselves known. This is what we all want. If the consortium is true (which I 100% believe it is) then I really hope they do make themselves known ASAP with all details and proof of contact made. This would really embarrass Higgs. Higgs would then to me have no choice but to accept the offer from the consortium because lying to us all about something as big as this would make his position untenable. Please, consortium, come forward ASAP and make yourself known.
What did Higgs say to us all about Sainsburys? Sainsburys still wanted to buy the Mem. Although that wasn't the case as over a year earlier Sainsburys informed Higgs they want out of the deal. What did Higgs say about the contract we had with Sainsburys? Watertight wasn't it? All the details dragged up in court proved it was the opposite to watertight. My favourite was "Relegation is not an option". I can't believe a thing he says!
NH interviewed on the local channel sports section of local, he again denied that the club were in talks with any consortium at present but said that discussions had taken place with a number of people who had failed to meet the criteria needed to take the club forward
