Shananhans Turn is entered at Gowran for that, had high hopes last season for him but the way it panned out he ended up with a lovely mark for Galway and hosed up. Hopefully he can make his presence felt in the graded races this season. Clarcam and Roi Du Mee are entered for Elliot whilst Willie has Alechi Inois, Devils Bride and Indevan. Rogue Angel, Rule The World and Texas Jack are also down to run so hoping they all make it there.

The best horse never wins the St Leger, it never even runs in the race!

Agree. I’m waiting to see if a couple are declared, of the morrow, in 2 novice heats at Bangor.

    Morning all <ok>
Anyone know why the card at Sligo only features chases? Is work being done on the hurdles course?

And neither of them have been! Regular readers hide your disappointment stoically, I say, stoically.

Actually, tomorrow’s Bangor card has cut up quite badly with 4 of the 6 heats failing to attract anymore than half a dozen runners.

Agreed SBC ... 6 Races and 38 runners with McCain the local trainer . only legging up 3 .... how the mighty are fallen .. notwithstanding the mire he finds himself in its a great disappointment for the sponsors and the racecourse to see such small fields ...

Scrambled egg and bacon bagel with lashings of brown sauce. 9/10

Nice couple of races at Chepstow - as already mentioned, the first race in particular may throw up a couple of good ones.

    Lucky 15 for me today...

    2:00 Chep - ARTHUR'S SECRET 12/1
    3:35 Chep - MORTLESTOWN 8/1
    3:50 Sligo - PIRES 6/1
    4:50 Nott - AMBITIOUS ICARUS 22/1

Fair play beefy. The Jonjo one ran on well once he got the hang of thing's, no doubt a winner in waiting.

I fancy He Is Top Class to land 4.55 at Sligo at 3/1.Made his debut over fences lto and finished a decent second and will hopefully come on for the run and can take this.

Cheers boys. Free money at 9/4 that one was! Looks like he'd like a fence, sooner than later too. Eye catching debut from JPs horse too. Hopefully Shantou Flyer can complete the day, he's been punted anyway.

Very unlucky thought Townend had played a blinder. The nag just stopped in front. Unlucky but bizarre race...
