Morning all from a misty and slightly chilly bandit country. Struggled to get going this morning and missed my usual 06.00 start at the gym. By the time I got home from The Vic yesterday, then picked up one of the brood at bandit central airport at 22.00, then woke up at 01.30 to watch the lunar eclipse - I am knacked. But I will get to the gym at lunchtime and burn a few calories!
Sæl öll from the Graham Taylor Breakfast Nook. Tea and coffee, donuts and fruit are on the bar. Half and half coffee for Brian Black coffee for Bragi Flat white coffee for Yorkie Frothy for W_Y Café Allongé for OFH I am glad to be home the weekend was long and was not as good as I had hoped. Then there was Watford failing to achieve anything against Crystal Palace, even if this was expected and the penalty kick was given in normal playing time this meeting.
Thanks for the frothy AK. Somewhat ironically, Little Miss W_Y has just accepted a position at a Prem League club working on their Production media..I should be good for a bit of VIP treatment at the return fixture with Palace.
Morning all Mrs H and I are off shortly for a ramble by the Hamble...though the primary function of the walk will be to pick sloes for some sloe gin!

Öxnadalsheiði has 3C and slydda already.

Thanks ak much appreciated...slow start here:. bit of a family session last night with the new baby and the 'other' grandparents.... Yorkie was the cook and host as Mme is in Lesvos visiting her sister at the mo. ( Still lots of arrivals but has slowed this week..... I am looking forward to hearing a local perspective on what is going on on..)
Morning all from a not so rural Dorset. Last day here of trying various local real ales; they do vary a lot. Been a busy time with the annual old ones reunion and managed to decorate the house hallway after they all left. Today will be gentle and there are quite a few pubs that we can still try. Tomorrow heading north to Oxfordshire, then Bucks before catching the Sunday morning ferry back home. Really do find the volume of traffic a bit much over here. One hour in Dorset and you might travel 30 miles, whereas at home you can do 60 miles with ease.
Feels strange to read about what's happening on Lesvos. I stayed on the east side of the island a couple of times in the early 1980s when it was fairly unconnected to the rest of the world...one or two tavernas, no bank, no newspapers. I lost a wallet full of cash and it was returned to me two days later by a Greek woman who was very offended at the suggestion of a small reward! Happy days!
Enjoy Traffic so much heavier in UK eh.... I think many of the locals are shocked and dont know how to react....... when faced with such destitution in front of their eyes...
