This was brought to the attention of HCST at the weekend and I contacted James Mooney yesterday to find out why it hadn't been fixed and also to find out how many people were missing out, as I was under the impression that we had more wheelchair spaces than we actually required.

Obviously I'll post details once I get a response.

A petty, vindictive, childish one at that too.

There's a representative from the SMC on the Burnsy show in a minute, to explain what's going on with the lift to the West Upper.

The club's silence is damning. If it has been out of order for that length of time, and IF there's a justifiable reason, surely alternative arrangements should have been made?

Could they not be brought to another entry point and helped round to their seat? I don't see a big health and safety issue, as there must be way other than the lift for them to leave the stadium in an emergency.

maybe Allam could contact the HDM to show him handing over a giant sized cheque to get the lift repaired - then all the performing seals could clap their hands and wallow in his benevolence and philanthropy

I am sure the Allams will do what is morally right for them.

The bloke on RH just told Burnsy that if the SMC didn't sort it out, he'd tell Ronnie Pickering. <laugh>

The SMC say the lift will be fixed before the next game.

They say that there's no goods lift to the West Upper, so the personnel lift is not just being used by people, but also by the caterers and to shift Sky camera's etc and it keeps breaking down as a consequence. They're now installing a dedicated goods lift to all floors, which they hope to have in by Christmas.

How many lifts are there to the west upper?

There was one working at the Swansea game. I had to move so a wheelchair user could emerge out of it.

Based on the interview on Burnsy this morning, I don't think it's been bust for a couple of years as had been reported, I think it's just been breaking down every couple of weeks for the past two years, which is almost as bad.

Whoever decided that the stadium didn't need a dedicated goods lift needs, err, shafting.

And as a temporary measure why don't the club check what other wheelchair spaces are available in the stadium and offer those
to the affected West Stand users ? I'm sure there are vacant spots in the East and South.

And an apology from James Mooney for the lack of reply to the Gentleman's letter is not good enough. It's a health and safety issue and
    should have been dealt with.

And of course, when it does breakdown it has a knock-on effect to the lift in West Stand reception.

    Makes more sense.

Obviously still not good enough. But the fails story could do with being reworded.
