Only team news coming out of Motspur Park is that Jazz Richards is fit again but not quite ready for this game. As is Luke Garbutt and he’ll play for the U21s tonight. Nothing on James Husband having his loan extended and since the ‘signing’ deadline has come and gone, have to assume that it’s not going to happen.

So far as selection goes then, I’ll take the lead from SuperBri’s comment after the QPR match – don’t change anything. Obviously there will have to one at LB if there’s no Husband and the equally obvious choice would Tim Ream taking that position and Dan Burn the CB spot.

    ……………….Lonergan……………..
    ..Fredericks….Stearman…..Burn……Ream…
    …………Tunnicliffe…..O’Hara…
    …..Cairney………………….……Pringle….
    ……………<..McCormack..>……
    ………………….Dembele……

If Husbands loan hasn't been extended it is a crime what with Kit stating he wants to extend it and the Boro manager being quoted as saying he's happy for this to happen. If Husband is with us anything other than the same team as Friday night and Kit needs shooting, if no Husband then Cottagers team will surely be correct.

What I m hoping for is a Fulham win, Dembele on the scoresheet and in his post match interviews states he is signing a new contract

Just had a look a Wolves previous results and they are very mixed, poor results against teams like Bolton and Preston which they would probably expect to win but then a good point away to Hull, wins against Charlton and Blackburn, they also lost 3-2?at home to QPR but did race into a two goal lead, anything seems possible I there fixtures.

Just read that the next month includes an international break and a game against Middlesboro so might explain why we are not renewing the loan especially as Garbutt played last night for the u21's.

Who can replace Husband if Garbutt isn't playing, apart from Ream.

With Garbutt playing for the U21's probably means it's only this game we need to make do, most likely it will be Ream at left back with Burn slotting in at centre back as per Cottagers team. I think Voser can be used at left back in any emergency think he may have played there opening day of the season against Cardiff.

In the case of Ream I went on the Bolton Forum when we signed him and they couldn't even agree what his best position was after 3 years at the club it was about 50/50 centre back and left, with a couple defensive mid thrown in as well. Also think Ream played left for the USA in the last international break.

Voser has played at LB in 3 Leagues games this season (Cardiff, Brighton and Hull) plus the first two Capital One games. Reports suggest he struggled a tad in the League games - certainly in the highlights and the one live match I saw that was the case. As mentioned in another thread, Ream had a toasting in that USA International, although he did fine for us in the Stoke game.

Understand what you're saying about the October fixtures and probably the reason we've been hesitant about extending Husband's loan Cookie. I just wish we'd signed him permanently right at the outset.

I totally agree Cottager I would love to sign him but think it's probably more Boro not wanting to than anything else, I'm pretty sure the know that if they don't get promoted this season they know. George Friend will go. I hope that they are top of the league come January might give us a chance to sign him. At the very least I hope Kit is having a word with him telling him we really want him but need to wait on Boro's situation this season.

What would make me happy is by the end if January we are I the top 10, Dembele new contract and Husband signed permantly, that would be the perfect Christmas.... Infact I'm going hijack my daughters letter to Santa.

Wonder if this will help or hinder the opposition cause tonight?

"Wolverhampton Wanderers will play Fulham this Tuesday evening just 24 hours after their owner announced he is putting the club up for sale

Chairman Steve Morgan has decided to put his 100% shareholding in the Club up for sale after eight years in charge of the club, and will step down from the Board with immediate effect and day-to-day activities will continue to be managed by the Chief Executive with the current Board overseeing operations. In a statement, the club insisted, "While the process of finding a new owner is being undertaken it is very much business as usual for the Head Coach, players, staff and all other stakeholders involved with Wolves. Steve would like to relay to all concerned that his ongoing commitment and financial support to Wolves will continue until a new owner can be found."

Morgan, 62, bought the club in 2007 from Sir Jack Hayward for £10, along with a guarantee of £30m in investment."

Meanwhile, Kit and Tom Cairney haven’t been seeing eye to eye, according to another of Kit’s exclusives with the local paper:

”Tom Cairney doesn’t like playing on Fulham’s right that much - but his boss insists he’s far more effective there. In fact, Kit Symons thinks that by starting right and working left the £4 million man will end up where he wants to be. “By playing wide Tom can come into those central areas unmarked, rather than standing in there and getting picked up,” Symons explained.

“His goal against Brighton for example: Matt Smith kept it alive; Tom picked the ball up very wide played into Lasse (Christensen), picked it up and scored. So coming from out to in he can do a lot of damage especially with that great left-foot. He can thread a pass or get a shot away.”

But the gaffer feels Cairneyis still a work in progress despite his great game in the 4-0 win over QPR on Friday, and his three strikes in 10 appearances so far. “Sometimes you want him to stay out a bit longer,” the manager said. “We spoke to him at length about getting the timing right - and I’m sure he will.”

Well, at least we know where Cairney will be starting tonight. Although I have to say that I thought he was exceptional when he played through the middle in the second half against QPR.

Not so much seeing things eye to eye, IMO. He'll naturally drift inside anyway. He probably doesn't like having to run back to the right at the breakdown. It still works so isn't a square peg, round hole situation. I remember Joe cole at Chelsea doing something similar on the left?

Quality player though, very happy he's a Fulham player.

Nothing against Jazz but the answer to this problem could be Fredricks, he is more attacking than Jazz and Cairny can drift inside a much as he wants allowing Fredricks to bomb on. The fullback would have a terrible decision to make.... Either allow Cairny to go and have a top player free drifting into a dangerous position or go with him leaving a large space for Fredricks to run into!!!!!

Early news is Husband is playing, not confirmed but team news is dripping in from unconfirmed sources, great news if true.... Gutted I'm not there currently on holiday in Majorca but following it carefully, though a 6am flight the morning after the QPR game has still left me slightly worse for wear..

First up, what a pleasant surprise to see James Husband’s name on the team sheet. The Club kept that one under wraps. Anyone know what the term of the new deal is?

Second up, we did not lose that game because of the sending off and certainly not because of Lonergan’s fumble for their second. We lost as a consequence of tactical ineptness on and off the pitch. Before Cairney got his red, O’Hara had been earmarked by Wolves and they were gradually snuffing him out. Whereas their corresponding threat, McDonald was being left free to roam at will. At that point the game could nonetheless have gone either way.

After Cairney went we changed nothing and managed to see out the half. Fast forward to the start of the second half and it was the Wolve’s man who made the tactical adjustment, bringing on No. 20 out on the left to exploit the gap left by Cairney’s absence. What did Kit do? Nothing!

Roll forward again when we’re two down what does Kit do? Bring on LVC for Pringle – a like for like, pretty much predetermined change. Roll further forward and he makes another like for like change at LB – Voser for Fredericks. Both substitutions were totally ineffectual; did not change in any way our system; did not in any way snuff out their constant threat – McDonald.

At the game we went through numerous changes Kit could/should have made: to at least close them down before they got the all important first goal. Let me mention just one however – yes bring on Voser (taking off McCormack), put Fredericks at wing half and push Tunnicliffe forward onto McDonald. At least try to contain them for goodness sake rather than stumbling along with a system that wasn’t working even with eleven men.

Third up, thought Ream and Dembele shone for us. As for McCormack – would anyone who saw the game like to suggest anything that he contributed?

Following the euphoria and the elegising of Kit after the QPR game, I still hold firm on my belief that
he is tactically inept considering the talented squad we have, tonight's game was a complete farce
and I can see more results like tonight's than that against the Rangers.
Must agree with Cottager that the loss of Cairney, did not hamper us to the extent of changing the result
