Genuine "Mag" supporters are no different to those supporting SAFC!

Got to say good article, the fans were ran on the pitch had no intention of causing trouble, but were still very stupid and should learn their lesson from what happened on Friday, as what happened not only embarrassed them but everyone who supports or is linked with Newcastle which for me is not good enough and fair on the many well behaved innocent Newcastle fans.
I have also seen Sunderland fans go over the top about what happen, but have heard some put up sensible opinions like Bruceys Beak and Cyprus Syd. I know many people who are canny people and support Sunderland and sadly when it comes to Newcastle it brings the worst out of them and is probably the same with people who support Newcastle.
If I came across someone who hated someone because they supported Sunderland I would tell them to grow up.

Gotta say,at 51 years old and having supported SAFC through thin and thinner, in all my time I have disliked the Mags.

I have, whilst working up here, had the misfortune of working with barcodes in the 80's and noughties. I'm only pleased I was out of the area most of the 90's - the first coming of Keegan.

I have never met a true mag that gives a stuff about us and who doesn't comprehend that there are other teams up here. They dont like it up 'em. They've had it up 'em for 3 years running now (f*** off with your 5-1. What did the final league table say?)

Don't like 'em. Never have. Never will.

    All - ALL arrogant kn**-j*ck*ys.

You mean they didn't bite the pillow?

Always a first time for everything, I suppose.

Well as some of you know my family is split in 2, mums side from Sunderland, dads side from Newcastle and I was born and lived in Whitley Bay.

I have a younger brother who is a Mag. We have loads of banter and it's all good fun.

They have their idiots but so do we, my uncle who is a Sunderland fan got attacked by our own lot on a train because he asked them to calm down and stop swearing as they were scaring kids in the same carriage. Those idiots are not supporters in my book.

I think most of us and most of them are in it for the football and can enjoy the banter as well as having a decent conversation about football.

Most mags are ok, everywhere you go you meet them, usually dressed for the evening disguised as a strange four legged animal.

A lot of my good friends seem to follow that particular club, up to them, but in a few short weeks time, for a couple of hours at least, they can go **** themselves, but when the dust settles it will be back to normal. That's just the way it is.

The answer to that one is quite simple, take the bull by the horns and start some threads on your own board. Youll find its amazingly easy.
