Currently yes, if they choose to leave at a later date you've got to respect their democratic choice and not bitch about it for over a year

 

Ireland wanted Independance in '18, it was denied and my country was partitioned against its people's will to appease the British in the North East.

If you think a year is bad then you need your head examined, Scotland will have Independance within 5 year.

 

Scotland had a democratic vote and decided to stay. Would we be having talks of another referendum had YES won? Don't think so.

Well duh. Scotland would be independent. How many countries have won their independence then asked to go back?

 

Not up to me but I think they have more of a, not a right, but a call for a referendum than Scotland currently do.

Mindy Is a special kind of plastic.

 

We have it built into the GFA that once we have a referendum there has to be one every 7 years. It's also in the GFA that the UK must remain within the EU Human Rights commission or whatever it's called so all the Tory ****e about pulling out is bluster. They would be breaking an international agreement signed by Ireland the UK and the USA. Locked away in the vaults of the UN.

 

I never wanted a referendum, I didn't think it was important.

But we have opened that can of worms, so now, as a democracy, we need to have another at a future date. Either because of a drastic failure of government or a 15 year franchise sort of thing

 

There are all sorts of scenarios that could lead to a second referendum. The up and coming Euro referendum being one of them.

Well according to the No campaign there couldn't be an independent Scotland without border controls at Carlisle so I should think so Ciaran. Fact is they should have been in place for decades now.
