TF and SLF won't be getting rid of CR anytime soon, if at all. If the chop does come it will be too late for us to be in anyway a desirable proposition for an established manager like Big Sam.
All a bit strange really. We've lost three games and we are sitting where many of us thought we would be at the end of the season. Our expectations were raised by the assumed quality of some of the signings who did show some promise (Cery and Polter both scored). Of the three losses, Charlton was just odd, Forest was due to an individual error when we were gaining momentum and appeared to be heading for a win and Fulham was an abject capitulation. We've beaten Wolves away, played incredibly badly for the first half against Blackburn and a point against Hull that I thought was a cert for us to lose. It's all very mixed and, just trying to maintain an overview, is it possible that we are just on course to be where we should be assuming that we are not aiming for promotion at all costs (which seems very unlikely)? Having said all of that, CR does look like the proverbial rabbit in the headlights. Maybe he will be galvanised into action instead of being run over!! I really don't want to be labelled as 'happy clappy' but we're not bottom - yet!
Win the next two and everything will be allright. Friday was dreadful, but I don't expect to be winning every game like we did initially under Redknapp two years ago at this stage. I said at the start of the season, I think the plan is to avoid relegation, get the finances right and to avoid a big FFP fine. If we do well at the same time even better, but it's not the main thrust this season IMO. Which is why we weren't in for Bent, Rhodes or Gestede in the window, and why we'll stick with Ramsey for now.
so, after 9 games in the championship we are debating CR. He was given a chance to build a team in his own right and I think we should give him the opportunity. The side will take time to gell, however I feel that he has brought some good young players and we need to get behind him and the team. A very poor performance on Friday.I didn't see it as I was at work but had the radio on. As a QPR I have got used to the fact we lose to lower opposition teams in the cup (I shouldn't but it has happened to often in recent times), I know if we play against a team on a losing streak usually, they end their streak against us and if we play a team who's striker hasn't hit the target in years...he breaks his duck against us. This was always going to be a season of finding out about our side. Let's give CR a chance and get behind him. If we change, then it could be a whole new lot of players come in during Jan.
Changed my mind about Flash, I reckon captain caveman could be able to take our club forward! please log in to view this image
