I don't mind less quality football too much and agree the result is more important when watching City (though obviously good football is preferable). My problem with Bruce's City team is that the negativity seems to cause us to struggle with results. We have such a serious lack of goal threat on such a regular basis and with our squad, certainly at this level, there's no reason for it. When we have these games like Brighton, Charlton, etc. we inevitably concede one at some point and Bruce always blames one particular defender but ignores the fact we didn't have a decent chance on goal all game which is clearly the main reason we lose those kinds of games, it happens far too often and it's exactly the same every time.

There have been a few games when we have gone a goal down and from that point started to play better Chelsea last season and QPR last week as examples, that shows that the talent, skill, ability, tactics are in there just not used from the start.
I really can't understand when we go a goal up ( or equalise ) rather than continuing to play attacking football and trying to get another we revert to a 10 and 0 formation and defend in and around our penalty area.

No Maloney and back to the Odubajo/Elmo right side which doesn't ever work (but it's all the transfer window's fault obviously.)

    Sigh.

Would have liked to have seen Maloney making a start.

If it's 4-4-2 fair enough, if he's dicking around playing one of Akpom or Hernandez out wide it's a waste of bloody time

And we create **** all yet again. What a surprise. It'll be all the defence's fault though of course.

You really need to re-read the question, as you still haven't answered it properly.

I've re-read it & have answered it exactly as asked. What about an answer to my question?

The question was not would you prefer to win or lose.

The question was, would you prefer to win 1-0 or 4-3 and if we lose, would you prefer us to lose 1-0 or 4-3?

I am assume you enjoyed it yesterday, going 1-0 up and trying to cling on to a one goal lead all game?

A negative approach invariably leads to a negative outcome, as we saw yesterday.

Of course I didn't enjoy giving away a poor goal in injury time- don't be daft! However, I'm glad we got a point rather than lose 3-4!

In my footballing days I was a defender so I appreciate a clean sheet & it is important to me. Of course I would rather win 4-0 than 1-0 but if losing would definitely prefer to lose 1-0 than 4-3.
