    Not a pretty thought
7 is the one player given the license to be as destructive as possible on the pitch. Some great 7s about at the moment.
Tournament only got started last night for me. Didn't want to post before that match as most on here wouldn't have appreciated my thoughts on England ;)

You may be right about Armitage .... But neither is Robshaw! He is a 6.5 rather than a 7

Aussies just done the business on Uruguay, didn't watch. Might glance at Scotland - USA, but no real hope of an upset. Ireland -Romania, Ireland to continue dark horse progress.

Ireland v Romania at Wembley? If I were a burglar I'd be targetting Kilburn today

I'm guessing Kilburn is full of Pikeys. They wouldn't have much to steal then

As I said in the OP, Ireland best Northern hemisphere chance. Interesting to see how full Wembley is, hopefully packed again.

Once upon a time it was very Irish. Nowadays it's about £1200 a month for a one bed flat so it's a sort of weird mix of poshos, Eastern Europeans and the Irish what done good.

King hell, USA can't do their own line outs, to a comical extent, Scotland almost as bad in the scrum. 3-3.

I do enjoy watching Richie Gray running around though. He's like a great lumbering dinosaur, the signals from his brain take an age to get to his limbs.

Brilliant, try to USA! 10-6 to them. All because for the first time they got clean ball from their own line out.

13-6 to USA at half time and thoroughly deserved, putting in some big hits, Scotland all over the place.

They were pretty impressive in the moments leading up to HT - they look as if they know exactly what they are doing, and what they need to do.

My concern for them - will their fitness hold out for the full 80 minutes?

Wasn't saying that to brag up Ireland. I said before the last six nations that England were progressing nicely but were far from the finished article. They dont have the strength in depth to challenge over the entire tournament and for the first time in my living memory England are entering a competitive tournament with a less than impressive front eight.
France IMO have the best starting 15 of the northern hemisphere sides with Wales (pre injuries) and Ireland having the best squads. God only knows which France will show up but they have never been better prepared with their clubs rowing in behind. Wales were serious contenders before their injuries but now can't last the rest of the tournament with that team/squad. Ireland are probably the most experienced northern team and although they will have the strongest bench bar NZ, they are still too reliant on sexton. Australia are my favourites and will run NZ very very close.

I know Nuts, you blokes traditionally play down Ireland, not the reverse. Just hope the All Blacks have to go through a few real games, and the Aussies look best placed to give them at least one.

I'm just grateful that we have the world cup going until the end of October to take my mind off QPR.

I see you were only a couple of minutes away from Scotland by 16 - you're quite good at this stuff Watford!
