Fine mate, likewise I hope. No voice left off yesterday though. If the team puts a bit of effort in, the crowd will do the same. Few and far between lately though.......

Realistically, we can't hope for too much, but between the lines he's virtually telling the players that nothing is expected of them, so don't worry about losing in december

I'm fine thanks mate. Vast improvement from your lot yesterday. Play like that for the rest of the season and you'll be fine.

Think people are blowing the naming of players well out of proportion. He's consistently done this throughout his career, he's done it it numerous times this season already for crying out loud.

Seems strange people have latched on to it this time, maybe it's because they want to create a crisis I don't know.

People have latched on to him naming players this time because we're in crisis mode? So they're panicking, putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5?

God our fan base is riddled with bitches. You should see twitter. Bitch city. It's not very flattering. You'd think season up on season of struggling would have toughened people up like it usually would a man. Year on year I find our fan base a bigger embarrassment than the season before. Still no where near the extent the Mags meltdown though so I guess that's something. I thought the north east was made of tougher stuff. Guess I'm wrong. Region of pussies.

If we're not in crisis mode yet, we're rapidly getting there. Look at the bottom eight right now - Us, Newcastle, Villa, Stoke, Bournemouth, West Brom and Norwich (I've missed Chelsea out because we all know they're not going to stay there). From 4th bottom to 8th. bottom of that list, Stoke are 4 points ahead of us, Bournemouth 5 points, West Brom 6 points, and Norwich 7 points. Outside of the bottom three, it's showing signs of moving away from us. O.k., it's still early in the season, but if we don't start grabbing some points pretty soon, we could be left stranded. I don't think it's crisis time yet, but we haven't a lot of time to spare now.

I would be very disappointed if 'Dick' walked over the next few weeks but I don't and hope not think that he will. This is Sunderland...past history shows it's one of the toughest jobs in football. I was amazed at the reaction of the City defeat...Sunderland slaughtered and so on....City's front three of Sterling, De Bruyne and Aguerro.....what $150,000,000 million pounds between them? Let's not get carried away here. Yes, it's been a tough start but as we have seen before things can change in a big way in just two games. We have I believe what is our best squad for a long time. We need to be patient. The Premier League is like a marathon....it's played over 38 games not 6 or 7. How many times have we seen in the past teams like Blackpool and Hull be near the top of the table at Christmas and then get relegated? So what he personally criticizes individuals and their mistakes.....because that's whats happening. If the players don't like it they need to put their big boy pants on and deal with it. The cock up yesterday between Pants and Kaboul on the edge of the box was basic schoolboy stuff...Len's clearance across his own box as well...got to stop the panic. Same with the fans....it's going to be a work in progress....we have a good manager and a decent squad...let's give them our best support!!!!!!

It's just one point better than di Canio's seven game start, and looking back, we shouldn't have expected more. We went to play in a California summer and lost to San Lorenzo. Ok, heat and close season - no worries. We play a Mexican side in the same venue and get run off the park - o.k. a California summer is nicely cool to where they come from, no worries. The worries started for me in Toronto. I checked the temperature that day, and Toronto was just 5 degrees warmer than Sunderland! I know Toronto F.C. were ten games into their season, but still, they shouldn't be able to stroll through against any EPL team the way they did. Sunderland's MoM for me that day was a kid - Beadling. That's where the alarm bells started to ring for me - and it isn't a lot better now!

I can excuse M'Vila and Kaboul a bit because them lads have been out of the game for months, not just summer. But I'm getting a bit sick of lame excuses from the rest now. I agree with Dick - there are some people on that field not bothering now - or not enough anyway..

I think Funky mentioned this in another thread but we are trying to put a squad together with the budget we have. What kills us in my opinion is that we have have to carry players like Fletcher and Graham. This part of the pitch is where survival is all about. If we hadn't bought such crap in the past then money could have been available for a beast up front and maybe another at the back....this is what I mean about it being a very tough job for Dick. He cannot change this all overnight so it will be a process. Clearly another left back should be in the mix as well....but it's going to take time. I would be hoping Ellis is working on Dick's contract for three years and not one....

It was. But now it's fantasy. I'm 100% behind Advocaat, and I agree that we are not going to revive Sunderland's entire squad in one transfer window. But when Toivonen is running out of steam, Fletcher is playing right wing and Yedlin's on the bench, surely to god you substitute Yedlin for Toivonen and move Flether into the middle for Yedlin's excellent crosses onto heads, don't you? We were 2-0 down, and Yedlin's pace and accuracy was about the only way we could trouble Man. U. and come back.

Sorry, but that's reality in the long term. But right now, it's junk.
