    In recovery.

All I can say is that was much much better. Fair enough we threw it away with some poor defending and a bit of lack of confidence. However there were so many positives.

I think we can safely put any notion the fans are the problem to bed. As with Arsenal, the fans are right with the team when they put the effort in. It is complete bollocks to blame the fans, yesterday proves that. The fans were still delighted at the end and cheered them off despite chucking away 2 points.

I was disappointed McClaren sent us out to defend our lead, the discussion had clearly happened. Maybe they knew we couldn't sustain the tempo? Probably more a case that this is the modern way, trying to be too clever. I kind of think you are just asking for it when you do this. Pardew was guilty of it at times and got slated for it. It was nice to see Colback rediscover some form, Sissoko put the effort in but annoyed me at the end with his stupidity. The one that is really pissing me off is Colo. It showed he clearly can still do it. For 75-80mins he was committed, winning headers and having a go. He was shouting and organising. Why not man up every week? Why wait till we have hit rock bottom?

Young Mbabu deserves great credit but lets just remember Edgar, Ramage, Huntingdon etc. All those guys had great early games (remember Edgar vs Man U). I think we have seen he is good enough to cover Janmaat at full back though which is a big bonus. He showed the issue we've had there with Haidara. You put someone there who can defend and we give ourselves a chance.

Big mention for Mitrovic. He was superb. The lad is talented when he keeps his head screwed on.

I have just seen an interview with McClaren which annoyed me. He said the right thing in that amount of effort is the benchmark. Correct. He then went on to blame not having Mitro as the reason for our shocking performances. He needs to not hide from telling the truth and just admit we haven't put the yards in.

Sorry to say this but you're all fickle as you get! Our situation is still very bad and we should have won that game.

I still see us losing at city and if we lose to Norwich and sunderland we're already down basically.

Mclaren bottled it yesterday simple as that.

    We have to win

Agree with the majority of this but some of our lot on Twitter are a disgrace. A couple of games in they were screaming to hang SM. Some just wanna moan like bitches all the time. God help them if we ever win owt.

Never read Twitter but I guess that is just nature of social media. Where it counts in the ground, they are getting plenty of backing when they give 100%. The fans do turn a bit when they are half hearted but that is normal. This is not some free ride. Far too early to get on at SM, he has had a poor start in his decision making. I wouldn't hide from that but he has only been in job a few months

I have no issue with SM as he deserves time after walking into a farce of a situation.
My frustration is with lemons who can't hack a reality check.
We now need to put in a performance against man city and keep the goal difference as low as possible followed by six points from the following 2 games.
If that does not happen then we are in a crisis

I completely agree; the second half was really, really disappointing. For 45 minutes we had Chelsea's number. We ran harder, we tackled harder, we defended when we needed to BUT WE ATTACKED THEM! Defending starts almost by having the ball, Mitrovic winning free kicks in their half is so vitally important. I understand he was tiring, but the sitting back in the second half we completely unnecessary; I wanted us to get a third, I felt at 2-0 it wasn't safe, but Sissoko, Wijnaldum kept sitting too deep and it was because of sitting deep that Sissoko committed a stupid foul that got them their equaliser.

Saying "you'd take 2-2 before the game" is irrespective when you're 2-0 up with 15 to go. We threw that away and it matter not a jot that it was Chelsea; McLaren needs to stay far bolder, far more committed and have some conviction in his actions. Even at 2-2 we're playing short corners - why? We scored from one, keep a few players back but put it in the goddam box - McLaren really, really wound me up Saturday after the most positive football I've seen in 2015.

By the way Aarons was the guest in the corporate area on Saturday. He has a calf injury and will out for a couple of weeks. Nice lad, comes across as quite humble.

The reality check is fine but panicking isn't helpful.

If we get 4 points from the next 3 games with performances of the calibre of Saturday, we won't be in crisis. We might just still be in the relegation zone but there will still be over 3/4's of the season left. If we're playing reasonably we'll be fine.

If in 3 games the Chelsea result seems as long ago as the Man U result did on Friday, having been followed by 3 abject performances, then we will be in crisis.
