I wasn't on board when some were touting Pullis and Sam.. but right now there is the feeling that the ship is reeling (especially after Foolham debacle) and these guys would at least have stabilised things. Keeps feeling we go from one type of shambles to another. All the players, coaches and managers we have had/have now can't be completely useless - something is fundamentally wrong and we need someone who will grab things by the balls. Sadly, Sam sounds like someone who might do it, but I still find it hard to accept. Any other options?
I didn't support Ramsey's appointment and I think I am being proved right. But he was appointed and I don't like changing managers and squads every 5 minutes. As much as it hurts, I feel we've got to give a bit more than 9 matches in charge. One positive: I thought he and Les recruited well and were lucky to retain most of the best players. Currently, I am re-assessing the "recruited well" verdict but even that decision should wait a few more games.
Yep I still think the recruitment was good but team selection a bit suspect and mixed messages with championing younger players. Think Gladwin could be a decent player but he was poor in his first few minutes for us so that instantly makes him crap in a lot of our fans eyes. I'd like to see Clint in against Bolton either at LB or CB, Hall should come back in and Doughty in for Henry is an absolute must. Phillips could do with sitting on the bench as well just to make him realise he had to work if he wants to stay in the side.
My old man reckons he made Onouha captain because he's black. Personally I don't agree but given the amount of times him and Les have talked about promoting black people within the game, I can see why someone (particularly an old person) might think that.
