Are the Swiss going to ban their emissions and make it illegal for them to be sold.? Seeing as they may have been operating under false pretences.
I think my take on the whole scenario is that a lot of ordinary fans like us, have been saying for donkeys years, that something was not right with the whole set up with international footballing body. Yet it has taken the authorities of a country not particularly known for its interest in football (USA soccer) to get an investigation going. I find this so baffling as to why the football authorities were not challenged before I really do.
Oh it's ok, Blatter has an ally here. I wonder why she married him and I wonder why it lasted a year only? I also wonder why she backs his innocence? Keep the gravy flowing by any chance? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/fifa-boss-sepp-blatter-finds-6523840?
I think it is going to be so hard to find someone who is clean. The lot of them seem to be thieves. Who can go in there and find the good ones and cleanup that disaster. Starting over may be the easiest thing. I expect we will just end up with different but still corrupt people.
Yep. A great danger of that happening. I'm afraid it appears to be very much like a gentleman's club and people get to the top because they know the right people to align themselves to. If you cause trouble with too much honesty you don't get very far. Keep your nose clean, look the other way at the right times, become trusted and above all, say all the right things at the right time or say nothing. It's actually how an awful lot of people prosper, and not just in FIFA. The real people who want to make a real change haven't got a chance in those circumstances. People like it cosy.
The mere fact that Blatter was well supported suggests corruption. The people voting him back into power were as corrupt as him....and they would have a lot to lose if anyone honest got in and had a good look round. He who rides the tiger is afraid to dismount.
