If he keeps this form up over the course of the season he should secure his place in the squad for the Euros next summer.

Exciting can be good, but it's points that keep you in the running.

I don't think it was wise for us, where we are at the moment in our progression, to go toe to toe against an Arsenal side that had Ozil, Cazorla, Sanchez, Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain available in their midfield and a speed merchant like Walcott up front against Huth and Morgan. In an open match Arsenal are probably the best equipped team to take advantage. Next week against Norwich, today's team might work. We need to pick our battles and our formation accordingly. Nine goals conceded in the last 3 games means Ranieri has to do something about that defence without stifling our attacking options.

As an Arsenal fan I thought that it was a good, open, attacking game of football. I imagine lots of people will have enjoyed watching the game, end to end, exciting stuff.

Arsenal clicked into gear today and played very well, not many teams have a chance when this Arsenal team play at the level they are capable of. Arsenal were deserved winners and could of added a few more goals.

That being said, I enjoyed the way Leicester played today, good passing moves, quick and accurate, along the floor, fast in the counter. I thought your lot played really well tbh. In the second half you couldn't quite keep up the intensity of the game and we found the spaces to really have a go at you but the first half I was really impressed.

And to think last year I was one of the ones who would have said yes to sell him to WBA for £5 mill
I was so wrong,I now think he his our main player not fancy just 100% direct.

I was another jamba who said at the time snap their hands off for 5million
Glad we didn't. Must be worth at least 15million now in today's market....

Not too sure 1 poor showing would put off potential suitors
Scouts will watch players for many many games. 1 performance is not going to change there opinion.
Now if Mahrez performs like that for the rest of the season..........

We didn't come up against anyone playing such blisteringly quick and skillful attacking football as Arsenal played today.

A terrific match today, Arsenal played some sublime football & would've beaten most teams with a performance like that. Our defence was never going to withstand an on on fire, clinical Arsenal.
We did play some good stuff ourselves though & Vardy took his goals really well.

Well RL discussed last year's match prior to the game and they seemed to agree with me. Perhaps they suffer from Nigel Pearson rose tint (NPRT) too? Perhaps I also imagined us not considering 5 goals last season too. Or that we never lost by three goals. My bad.

Extract from the the 2014 BBC report: "Leonardo Ulloa's second goal in successive home games gave Leicester a deserved point against Arsenal." Mike Whalley must be another NPTR sufferer. Certainly no-one can say we deserved anything from today after that second half performance.

Didn't we play Arsenal last season? The team has hardly changed, and they played some great stuff last season too. Perhaps we didn't allow them to click last season? We played into their hands somewhat today, especially with the second half tactics.

Absolutely. I'd take a drab victory away at Stoke over an exciting 2-2 draw there anytime.

Well we showed in the first half we could be a threat to them. Yes, Arsenal did turn it around, but you felt at half time it could still go either way. Moving from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 was a terrible move though, the sort of move you might make when WE are 2-1 up. I agree THAT defence were always going to struggle, but three at the back would have fared better I think.

Again, it wasn't so much the starting line-up that I had a problem with, but the formation/line-up we started the second half with. Hopefully we won't try that again against anyone.

I think we all agree the defence needs looking at, it's just I've been saying it for a while now. We looked fairly solid at the end of last season (well, most of the season at the back to be fair) and that has mysterious ended. With some so-called quality defensive signings made in the summer, I think we have to give some of them a chance. We have the worst defence in the league now, so we can't do any worse in that regard!

For the clubs he's been linked with, he's got to do it against the best. Otherwise he's better off staying with us.

I don't think it's possible for us to get a double relegation to league one
