I have no issue with the idea of a November/December contest - but everything else about the 2022 world cup disgusts me and I will be boycotting it if it goes ahead as it stands. I will also be boycotting the 2018 world cup if the fraudster is still head of FIFA. Sorry, I should put the word alleged there.

Why did our FA back Platini if he's just as guilty?

So lesser corruption is acceptable because there exists greater corruption?

GBH is OK because it's not murder?

Nicking twenty quid off of an old dear is OK because it's hardly the Brinks-Mat robbery?

I'm away to watch The Only Way Is Ethics, see if I can sort this out.

There was and is massive outrage at the banks... This is more selective amongst football fans world wide so in my opinion can't be directly compared. This is massive because for years every man and his bloody dog knew it was happening, it's more like bloody jubilation and relief that something is happening.

The mix of vast amounts of money, lack of accountability and human beings will only result in corruption.

Blatter used FIFA funds to pay off Platini not to stand against him. All this crap about paying for his services 10 years ago after the event is laughable.

After Platini telling Blatter to stand down last time, it seems Blatter is now trying anything to prevent Platini succeeding him.

If FIFA are going to convince the wider football public that they will clean themselves up, it's going to take a complete overhall, a change of faces and a more transparent, democratic voting and decision-making system.

As it stands, they appear to operate like a secretive business

One way you could boycott them is NOT purchase the FIFA16 game, buy Pro Evolution Soccer or another.

He has a point. That game makes a huge whack of money year in year out which they'll get a % of plus all the online transactions of the ultimate team cards which people go crazy for.

Platini received £1.35 million supposedly for work done 9 years earlier. This was paid into his bank account 3 months after the World Cup was awarded to Qatar. Something Platini voted for. Hmmmmm...
