    Morning all

Lovely sunny one here...blue tits and goldfinches making short work of seeds and peanuts and horses rapidly consuming field of uncut grass opposite. A lawn cutting day today, ready for scarify and aerate next week.

Evening all - busy day in Bandit Country. Cut the grass and put the first coat of masonry paint on the new stone BBQ - my god it sucked in 10 litres! and it took me 4 hours! Hopefully the weather will be fine next Sunday to get coat # 2 on - next Saturday will be a good day out in Bornmuff.

Good to see you in the Silly Money League and doing well.

Wow, welcome back, old timer! Hope all's OK. We did search for you, where have you been hiding! As Yorkie said, do you know where SLB went? Hopefully you have some good news for us on that.

As for the game, it'll be pumped! The first good test for the 1881 I think! If we go a goal behind they have to keep making lots of noise, I believe they are up for the fight! I will, as always, go for a 3-1 home win and would so love to be right!

Its a been a long time since I've been on here, the Palace board is covered in tumbleweed, that'll be due to the two main Palace sites being too big a draw nowadays sadly but never mind.

I tried to contact SLB before the Wembley match (that'll be the last time I mention that day today, honest !) to arrange a pint but received no reply,I know he was in the middle of changing jobs and he said that with that change the amount of time he would have online would be greatly reduced.

Since then I have heard nothing which is a shame but I have no doubt SLB will be back when he has more time.

    In the mean time..

    ejg.jpg

..back in the early 80's your well-known Chairman brought the scripts to the Goon Shows, here depicted from the Daily Mail.

As I know very little about your current side apart from one or two and with the opposing team being in stripes I thought it quite apt !.

Yes... I even tried to track him down by other means ... but dead end... shame.... but as you know not606 just hasn't worked in the same way as 606 did and I know he felt that too...

So hows life.the universe and not606,bit quiet on here ?
Must admit I'm a bit tentative about today, our side is likely to be missing a few at the back so we'll look to outscore you on the break, could end up like a game of basketball..

it does get quite lively..... but quiet this past few days.... go on the politics thread at your own risk!

We haven't let in a goal yet at home so I would be surprised if you get a few... I think it could open up if you score..... but we are looking pretty good when it all flows and Deeney is hungry to score... not scored yet.... diff to call it..... our home crowd is much better.... we now have a singing section which has really come one since the play-off final against you....

Times have certainly changed since we last met, glad you finally made it to the Silly Money league.

Glad to read the fanatics have rubbed off on you, really does help to get the atmosphere going eh !.

Our last two games we've lost by the odd goal, last weekend we were very poor against Spurs, week before against City we rode our luck at home and nearly pinched a point before they won it with the last kick of the game.

During the week we had the clowns, sorry Charlton, down for a league cup mauling as a warm up for today,it could have been 8-1 to be honest and with some players returning today, along with Bolasie signing a new deal yesterday and Cabaye pulling the strings in midfield it could be lively.

For me it boils down to keeping your front two of Deeney and Ighalo quiet against our quartet of Zaha,Bolasie,Sako and Puncheon.

Hello all from a sunny (at last!) Jersey. When I went out to the shop earlier, I passed my local and the only sport they are showing today is the rugby.

I went out on my bike earlier for the first time in a few months - it was a ride I'm used to over the years I've lived here, but my legs are sore. I don't think it helped that the wind picked up on my way back home, as it was a cross-wind and even when I used to have to cycle to and from work, I had more of an issue with them than with head-winds.
