Bollocks. They didn't mentally fold. No team in world would have prevented the first goal and a soft foul (Sissoko was our weakest player) led to their lucky second - they didn't break us down at all except for Pedro's effort. Well played to the defence imo, from start to finish.

 

This is a fair point. If we had beaten Watford then we could really be very chuffed with today. As it is after going 2 up. That is 2 crucial points we have missed out on....still great effort today. Brilliant to see.

 

We stopped doing what was winning the game and started hoof ball hence bottled it.

Got caught out of position when they broke a couple of times but basically a fantastic performance from him. Had Pedro right in his pocket for most of the game.

 

Well done, I would have done that. And not saying that in hindsight. But getting over 2/1 for sure is a good result.

 

Great performance today from the lads. Very unlucky not to have got the 3 points. 4 points from Norwich/Sunderland games are key though.

 

Personally, I think the game changed with the combination of Colback going off and Ramirez coming on. They took control of the midfield at that point. It wasn't in the least bit our lads bottling it - what a load of rubbish.

From where we were after the midweek game, this was a corner turned, not least because of the effort they put in. Yes, it's just one game, and they need to perform like that every game, but it's what they needed to do and fair play to them. Positive debut by Mbabu too.

I think another issue was that Perez was clearly tiring at about the time Ramires came on so we had less pressure from the top of the pitch which allowed Chelsea more time in midfield.
