I'm really struggling today. Are people really saying Clucas?? Why?? We're like a team who are obsessed with their stats. Look at how many passes I've made. They're safe passes mind that dont mean anything but it keeps my stats up. A few times we took a quick free kick but went backwards then right across the back line-ending up with Greegsy hoofing it. WTF The free kick was ten yards in their half!!
Thought Clucas had his best game for us yet. Linked the play well, and covered for a very out of sorts Robertson. Unlike some members of our midfield he is not afraid to tackle. Quick free kicks are great when they work -ours didn't and don't seem to very often. What almost did work was Maloney's quick corner towards Hernendez which their keeper just managed to claw away.
Robertson isnt out of sorts today he's been **** all season. His crossing is ****, his defending is **** and what the **** was that attempted overhead kick come header in the first half!!! Bruce went to him, as he jogged by him, just bring the ****er down. CSM. Townsend should be in. Sorry i never saw anything from Clucas. He set the tempo for the game from the kick off. He had the ball on the left touchline and could have gone down the line but was that desperate to turn back to Robertson he got the ball took off him which led to Davies' brain fart booking.
Davies getting his feet in a tangle and taking too many touches is no-one's fault but his own. He did it again 2nd half. Think you are a bit harsh on Robertson - and we obviously watched a different game today re Clucas.
I didn't think anyone stood out but that's hard in our team. Hernandez was ineffective - but more involved than Akpom was. Tom made some good passes I suppose. The centre backs were quite good apart from the goal but I'm sick of them being our only good performers. Dawson Davies Odubajo
Hernandez Akpom Clucas I had trouble picking a third, I went with Clucas largely becuase he was our best player in the first half, but he he's too safe, he offers very little creatively and we need Maloney to be starting. I'd also start Livermore ahead of Huddlestone, he's looked very good since he returned. Robertson needs to be dropped, he was utter ****e yesterday, he can't defend and he can't cross, which is significant problem if you're a left back.
