3 out of 4 of Giroud's last goals for us have been from off the bench, maybe that's what he is best suited for from now on.
It is 2-5....94th minute.....0 official minutes to go.....Alexis is chasing a dead ball and almost gets it and when Ozil joins with half an effort and cant take the ball. Alexis gets angry! THIS is a captain!
Excellent performance against a confident previously undefeated Leicester City. Defensive fragility still remains but when playing an open game like this one we were never going to lose. Nice one Alexis.. more of the same please!
They started off the better team and bypassed our midfield so much in the opening couple of minutes. Felt Arteta coming on was a game changer as we started to take control of the midfield and the end to end nature of the game suited our counter-style so much. Fair play to Leicester, never gave up even at 4-1 down but in the end our fluidity and quality was too much. Shoutouts to Sanchez, Walcott, Ozil, Monreal, Bellerin, Arteta Cech and Kos.
I know your pain, I had to go recpetion venue viewing with the missus - they never understand the important things do they?
A Sanchez hatrick was always on the cards sooner or later, and what better time to grab it than against a good Leicester side!
I had to listen to the game on the radio as I was working, so only caught snippets. How was our performance ? ****ing great result at previously unbeaten Leicester, and lovely to see us scoring a few goals. Sanchez the beast is back
Watching MOTD: That Ozil assist for Sanchez's second. Then that strike for his third goal. please log in to view this image
You can see how Walcott thrives against teams who play a high defensive line. That's the problem. Teams who defend deep like Chelsea last week won't give Walcott that time and space. I hope he can develop his game to overcome defences like that. I have faith in him. This is his chance to prove the doubters wrong. I'll believe in him to deliver the goods.
