    Sod’s law – one of the ones that owes me money wins the Cambridgeshire. I cannot say that I would have backed Third Time Lucky as he had never run beyond a mile; but well done anyone that was on. Five wins this term but I was on one of his two defeats.

    Just to make it at even more miserable Saturday, Maljaa wins again at Haydock but I had ‘no bet’ that card because of the soft ground.

    Hoping for a dry October or the betting year could be over...

    Just had a look at tonight's Chelmsford card and noticed Pat Smullen makes the journey there to ride a few for a number of different trainers. Which one(s) will win if any is the tricky part. Can't recall him riding here before but I may well be wrong.

    Note to self;

    Mightbeall Forluck does not stay 2m4f on a stiff track.

    I knew it but....

    Remains on a good mark with a return to 2m imminent.

    Portage was possibly undone by the draw but he does lack gears.

    10f next season will see him better a mark of 95.

    Well done all visiting the payout window.

    The trainer has been up front from the start with this horse.

    CC at RA was declared his target in the Midsummer just past.

    Sorry to be so long in replying but I was in the pub when I read your request and the BHA website does not appear to like Windows Phone for photo finish pictures, so I had to wait to go on the laptop!

    Simple instructions here for anyone on how to find official photo finish prints:
    1. Go to the BHA website at http://www.britishhorseracing.com/race-info/fixtures/results/ and click on the meeting that you are interested in.
    2. This will show you a list of the races, so click on the one whose details interest you.
    3. Click on “Photo Finish” link and it will show you the picture. I am not sure how long after the race you have to wait for this to become available.

    In the 4:00 at Market Rasen, the winning jockey Danny Cook got banned for two days for excessive use of the whip and this is the photo:
